Thats my way to cook corn 🙌 sometimes I do like to husk it and get some char, but grilled is the way to go

Nice little setup, I love the 750 ml Toaks pot. Never seen anyone take shot glasses with their backpacking set up though. No judgement but it seems to make more sense to just swig from your bottle or your flask. Or just use the pot itself to pour a shot into.

I absolutely agree with you. When I filmed this I had brought them on about 12 trips and never used them. Swapped them out last year for a folding spork and a french press plunger. Thanks for watching!

I must say this is the best video on camping I ever saw. The reason is that you camp so simple and real. I have never camped but watching you felt like I can camp too. Great stuff bro. Hey are you Indian?
@CampfiresandColdBeersАй бұрын
West Indian (Trinidad) and Canadian. How'd you know, almost certain you're the first person to guess that. And thanks! Over the years I've realized I like the simple camps with almost as little gear as possible. Appreciate you watching!

Nice nesting! I would not place the fuel cubes in a cup or pot that I was going to heat water or cook in. Fuel cubes should be wrapped or placed in a small zip lock bag.

0:57 taking linger to boil doesn’t equal more fuel use. It’s a great burner, but it’s output is lower, so it does take longer. Lower output means you’re conserving fuel. If your flame is running up your pot it will boil more quickly, but you’re also wasting more fuel that travels away from your pot. Thats why the jet boil has sides
@CampfiresandColdBeersАй бұрын
Absolutely true about the output. My logic with jetboil conserving more fuel (output aside) is that the design itself maximizes the efficiency of the heat. Still think the Brs is great and it's my go to burner to this day.

Check out: Thermette NZ. They're awesome. I have an one that I first used on a bush track cutting crew in the 70s. Cooked my lunch on my shovel over it sometimes too! Also, skirting your tent with a snow bund will help trap heat in. 👍🏼

I'll check it out! Absolutely agree with filling in those gaps, I often leave it open when I don't bring my Co detector. Not necessary, but it gives me piece of mind that there's some airflow in a worse case situation. Thanks for watching!

I haven't been there for over 20 years but I used to go there every summer we would park at the gate and walk down and we go tubing at the end of The Falls I'm just wondering if the axis has changed I know that somebody took control of the property. You have not done it right without sitting under the falls.
