17 wide is really nice for landscape and even architecture. 40 normal is now the preferred FOV for street, and f4 gives a normal amount of shadow detail. I have it paired with a 5D2, but it could mate well with a Canon RP with it's increased dynamic range and 50 ISO usable down to 12000 or so. Decent weight to quality ratio for amateurs headed into the mountains. Under $1000.

The page turn buttons on these kindles are the best of all the kindles. It's the corner angle of them tthat does it. The movement is more natural, to me anyway.

I don't enjoy reading fiction because the characters are a mere fiction of the author's imagination and as they aren't real I can't get invested in them, because what happens to them doesn't matter. However if you enjoy reading fiction it can be nothing but beneficial to do so.

Watched this again after 2 years. Still true today! You're $8 purchase was indeed a steal. They seem to go for at least double that on Ebay, and most of those are "non functioning" and meant to be used as parts. I still have my dad's Kindle Keyboard and as you explained, in many ways, it's superior to the current Kindle iteration. Rumor has it that the next model Kindle will include physical page turn buttons! [ PS - if you're an avid reader, $300 really isn't that much to pay for a device you'll be using many hours a day. Provided it doesn't drive you bonkers that is, like my Kindle Paperwhite does to me! ]

I'm still using my kindle keyboard 3g... I just replaced the battery, after 12 years! The 3g has been disabled by amazon. 3g by amazon does not work on any of their units anymore. With that it used to be epic. You could get your email and stuff with it for free. The fact that you can load up your audible books and listen through headphones or speakers is awesome.

What a waste of time this video is. Comparing the kindle and fold side by side to back your review would have been more definitive. The review is more about the reviewer's feel about his good old kindle but his review his not tangible unless he puts facts in terms of comparative video. I guess the guy forgot he is in you tube and imagined to be in a sound cloud or something.

Hi! I was wondering if you could do a video on how you upload books onto this kindle? I was able to find one on offerup but for some reason it keeps saying unable to connect, so I was wondering if you manually upload books onto your kindle? Thank you in advance!

Still have my Kindle 3/3G which I got as a gift in 2010. Hundreds of books later and the battery is finally dying. I'd prefer to replace that rather than replacing the whole thing with a new generation Kindle. I've thought about 'upgrading' to a newer model but am put off by quite a few damning reviews on Amazon. Like you, I appreciate my old kindle's buttons and on balance, would prefer to stay with the older model. Now to try and replace the battery ... (gulp) ... thank god for youtube.

mark picked a pretty odd name for his diet. the word pegan actually sounds pretty cool. it rolls off the tongue quite nicely. however, the issue that i have with it being called pegan (paleo/vegan), is that it's not paleo or vegan at all. he allows for meat (not vegan) and allows for grains (not paleo). so overall this isn't even a paleo or vegan diet at this point. it's just kind of a smash of "healthy" foods with a label that is rather misleading. when people think of a paleo vegan diet (which is an actual diet), you usually come across hi-raw vegans in this category. then there is a sub-set of people that will eat an actual "pegan" diet in which they consume: fresh fruits and veg, nuts and seeds, roots and tubers, and squash/gourds.

What's sad is that it also has one of the highest if not the highest contrast ratio among all the Kindles. Most if not all the new ones are much worse in this aspect.

Heyyy, great video. I was going to buy one of these, but i have read on the internet that you can't put an Amazon Account on these anymore, and more importantly, you can't pass archives from the pc to the kindle anymore, so.. just making these unusable for me as i wanted to get books and papers from the pc to the kindle to read. Is this true??

My Kindle Keyboard is around here somewhere... I've gotta find that little sucker. I do, however, still have my Kindle DX that I bought at a yard sale about 10 years ago for 10 or 15 bucks. Sucker still works like a charm... though the 3G doesn't work anymore. Meh. Not the end of the world. I do, however, want a "basic bitch" cheapie e-reader that'll read all the epubs that I have on my phone. I don't need all the fancy options. I don't need high refresh rates. I just need to be able to load up the file and turn the page.

I have a new Ipad BUT I really wanted an e-reader and last week I found one at the thrift store with its leather case and charger for $5!! I came home and it wouldn't work so after watching YT videos found out it was the battery so I replaced it with one from amazon for $20. Then watched books on how to update it and how to download books into it and now its good to go! For $25 I didn't mind the lil rocks on the road LOL!

The kindle keyboard has read me probably 100 books as I drove, and not just that, work documents in PDF format too! I'm out here stuck in NoVA traffic with kindle keyboard reading me a 15 page "brief" while I'm on the way to the meeting about it. Unfortunately, everything has kept moving and my new car has no aux input (only BT), and I'm already using a dongle to get a USB-A port so I can use a USB-micro cable. Still love the kindle keyboard though.

I been reading since 28 years old, I am 60 today. All my friends have passed on my age, they retire and don’t know what to do. Wow. Yes, it keeps you young and know what really is going on. Fiction is bullshit. I like psychology philosophy and science. Downey Cali
@denzel18776 ай бұрын
I used to read a lot of psychology and philosophy and they used to depress me and I would constantly have existential crisis. I was able to turn my life around when I stopped consuming that bullshit and started being playful and reading a lot of fiction. Now life is no longer serious, it is fun and full of wonder, I travel the world and different worlds and visit various galaxies with my imagination... yes fiction, it is indeed the fountain of youth.
