Taurus and sable were truly outstanding cars when introduced and leaders in style, tech, and innovation. One of my favorites. That said, whatever ford mgmt personnel that made the decisions to decontent, and cost cut their way through the 90s until all that was left was a mediocre also ran. Those mgmt folks should be jailed for their suicidal, incompetent, short sightedness. Ford invested billions in product and had a true leader with name id and brand value in the name. Then to just squander all that over the years until cars bearing taurus and sable badges brought on the snickering. True management dereliction of duty.

Although Cadillac and Lincoln are fierce competitors, in a friendly joint agreement they should both have a revival for 1 year of the Seville and Versailles both fitted with identical electric engines, batteries and other identical luxury amenities selling for the same price. That limited production would probably sell in big numbers since there's loyalist of Cadillac and Lincoln and for those who are neutral it would come down to which lines(Seville or Versailles) they like better. I like both of them and would have to flip a coin if I couldn't have both of them.

What great effort here Tofer, truly thank you. I myself have the 76 T- Bird Creme and Gold edition 460 4 bbl. I collect these magnificent malaise masterpieces. Especially the 76 Mercury Grand Monarch Ghia in Grey. My favorite Bill Blass Lincoln MK V 1978. Bring me back to a great childhood in upstate NY ( Syracuse). Again Thank You

I'm amazed at how much footage you can come up with along with your incredible production quality. In actuality I don't view the x cars as a failure at all. Despite huge headwinds in terms of size, cafe, safety, and emissions all at the same time, gm was able to come up with very nice vehicles. The downside was the production rush which left some fine tuning unfinished. In reality the x cars sold very well, and led to the long lived A bodies and to a lesser amount established the template for the later 80s C platform. I own an 80 buick skylark and even today it still has excellent packaging efficiency, pleasing design, and decent quality materials were used.

I first saw this video when it first came out and it inspired me. While not the same year, i found amd bought an 86 mercury grand marquis coupe, also low miles and its now part of my collection. The ride is even better than what i remember. Awesome cars that cannot be duplicated by anything made today. That is a true shame.

I love this video! They don't make movies like this anymore, and they don't make KZbin channels like this one anymore...also, does anyone realize that the LeBaron in this was a homage to the Wagon Queen Family Truckster? Look at the green color and wood paneling...John Hughes was referencing his other work!

My poor 2005 ford Taurus. Hated it when i first got it cuz it was boring. Had it for almost 15 years before it made the final sacrifice, protecting my wife and unborn son when a moron rear ended her. Honestly gives me vibes like RDR2 when Arthur says "thank you" to his horse haha.

So in reality, the train conductor would not hit the brakes like we see here. He would actually do the opposite, and increase speed. The reason is so that the train will obliterate the truck and push it and the pieces out of the way and off the track. Hitting the brakes before a collision increases the chances that the train could derail, which obviously is way worse.

One of my favorite models and years of all cars. These were really well-made and served countless American families for years. There would be more of them around today if the Explorer hadn't taken off in the early '90s and spurred the transition from large sedan/wagon to SUV.

I didn't like this episode in particular because Hank cares more about his truck than his own son. And at one point he tells him to sit still and try not to destroy any more trucks, which really makes me mad at him because you're blaming your kid for something that you did to himself. And it's stuff like that is the main reason why I stopped watching this show.

Hank showed emotion one time, didn’t know how to cope with it, lashed out, and then reasoned his way into making up for his rash behavior, and you want to be a little bitch.

I felt this, right in my 1991 Oldsmobile Bravada. may she rest in piece. . . 91-15 :_: Grandparents, parents, then mine, learned how to drive in her, many trips, trips with pets, trips to the hospital, trips to the store, vacations, funerals, it never let me down. Not once. Was towed and scrapped right out of my driveway one day because the township decided she was an eyesore despite having a plate and valid inspection stickers, all over some rust and fading paint. . . I feel Hanks pain. Cars can be part of the family, and sometimes its just too soon.

Once again , this is just another story of general motors and ford trying to get out cheap. Thinking that small cars were just a fad. Passively aggressively throwing something into the market. Well they learn the hard way and by the time the mid eighties rolled around they had lost half their market share. The only positive outcome was when electric vehicles came around, they didn't take it lightly , but it may not be enough.
