This is the biggest thing I couldn’t figure out for the wire I wanted it on - used husbands drill and eyeballed a drill bit big enough for whatever wire or whatever you’re using and it works great and didn’t break any beads!

Hi Staci- could you tell me if you have noticed a significant difference since having this surgery? I’m supposed to get this surgery next month but am pretty worried about the recovery. How long was it until you were completely weights bearing?

Hi.. recovery depends on your body and how you do at PT. It is a very tough surgery but if you stay the course and do the PT you will be fine. Every body is different.. I was weight bearing in about 4 months but I still experience pain… maintaining an active lifestyle is key..

Hi Staci - could you describe your pain level at this point of the process? I have to get a DFO + TTT + MPFL early next year and will need to do both legs and am feeling a lot of anxiety.

Oh wow. That’s a lot. I’m only familiar with DFO and only did my rt leg. The pain was manageable with ibuprofen at this point. Lots of pt. At first it’s very paintful but now that I’m a yr past the surgery I would definitely say it was worth it.
