The CO2 Art regulator says that it has a built-in check valve. Do you recommend adding an additional one?

Pretty ballsy to lift and carry a rimless tank with its substrate and water still in it. So lucky the bottom didnt fall out. That is some thin material.

Straight off Ikea website: Top panel/ Bottom panel/ Side panel: Particle- and fiberboard with honeycomb paper filling (100% recycled paper), Paper foil, Plastic edging Safety & compliance Max. load 44 lbs. per horizontal surface if placed on the floor. I'd personally pass on this for my ADA 60P, but am curious how it's holding up 4 years later now?

Never put PTFE tape on the thread! The thread does not make a seal. The seal comes from the washer, which you probably should have added too.

I just think most modern Bubble counters incorporate a check valve so worth checking, this is a very good tutorial.

Which filter should I use for 4 feet tank with this plant? Is top filter fine? Would the plant get affected with the flow of the water?
@scottotero93747 ай бұрын
One bit of advice, you should tilt the bottle 45 degrees when pouring the water

Is there supposed to be a very quiet chirpy noise coming from my system? I read a comment saying that I need to install a washer, but I didn't, I thought there was one in it already. I saw you simply tightened your regulator on, same as me. Odd

About 6 months ago, I removed all filter media from my external filter. I have a Dutch style aquarium. Ironically I am also Dutch. The reason why I have done it is because all the plants, sand and other surfaces have enough bacteria for biological filtration. I just wanted unhampered flow to give the aqaurium enough aeration and waterflow without worrying that the filter will need cleaning after a few years. How I managed this is by adding a course filter (poached it from a big sponge filter) on the inlet pipe. If any cleaning is needed, it will be the only sponge I will need to clean.

Would it work to diffuse the c02 in the return section of my sump 🤷🏼♂️
@gallardo2000011 ай бұрын
How long it lasts depends entirely on the diffusion method; if you have a larger tank you need to use an in-line diffuser/atomizer. If you use an in-line diffuser this setup will last a very long time. And it's much easier to replace the material than refilling a pressurized CO2 system.

Identical but cheaper than the OASE ones. Eden was bought by OASE which only changed the exterior design and increased the price. Very reliable filters. I use one for my 120l tank.

Where do I put the check valve if I’m using an inline diffuser ? I guess anyplace between the bubble counter and the inline diffuser ?

Thanks for this video.I need to blackout my tank for 24 hours to get a medicine working and was worried that I would lose algae.Its a blackwater tank and it looks very clean so the little algae I got is essential for my shrimps and the ottos in there.Seems that 24 hours won't affect algae which is great ❤❤

Why use Check valve ? You already have water in bubble counter . Pls reply.
@Natquascape Жыл бұрын
Hi there. The check valve or non-return valve? Sorry, I might have the terms mixed up in the video. Non-return valve is there to make sure water does not go into the CO2 tank when CO2 is off
@Yolo-mz5yg Жыл бұрын
@@Natquascape Yeah I understand, but you already have water in the bubble counter but that water doesn't go into the CO2 tank or solenoid valve. In this case the bubble counter is the check valve . Isn't it ? So the bubble counter is acting like a check valve . You don't need to use seprate check valve. Water is always present in the bubble counter but that water doesn't go to the CO2 tank or solenoid valve.I may be wrong 😅. But look at this thing .

I have brown diatoms algea all the time, no matter what i do and im about to give up lol Ive now tested my tap water and the Phosphate level is high straight from the tap, i cant read these color charts well but its at least comnig out at 2.5 probably more. What do i do about that, isnt that gonna always give me diatoms, or do i treat it before going into tank or just throw a Phosphate pad into my filter. Ive had a pad in it for about a week now and no change. Spent thousands on this hobby and im at my tethers end.

Hi thanks for the video. Should there be an o-ring in the cap for the bubble counter? I mean the but you unscrew in order to fill it with water? I have air leaking from there but I can't see any damage. Thanks!
