I was actually hoping Nintendo would play it a bit safer and test the waters with a PM64 remake before trying TTYD. I kinda prefer the N64 one if I'm being honest, it's more "Mario" where TTYD is a fairly unique game that happens to feature Mario.

One of the best games ever made IMO. Still fun in fact... The balance of the gameplay and very light handicapping (shame on you, mario party...that's a warped product) was solid. People could learn fairly quickly, good players were going to always be competitive and lucky plays just enough of a role to make stuff interesting.

If you're from Europe you're probably wondering why the music is "playing so fast", but this is how we all heard it over here in the US! When we hear the European version it sounds too slow! It's because of the difference in screen refresh speed, which the music routine is tied to: 60hz in the US and 50hz in most of the rest of the world.
