What an awsome guy! Thankyou for this video. Super cool of you to take the time to make a well put together video. Thankyou sir!

Very nice. When I was a teenager around 1970, I used to hike and climb all over this place. It's been a while now and I really enjoyed this video. BTW anybody know why Greg stopped Hang Gliding? He hasn't posted any soaring videos in about 10 years and I recently saw that Sonora Wings has one of his "kites" for sail.

I first saw this video several years ago, around the time it was first posted. I love the Sonoran Desert, and this tune is my favorite of Yanni's music. I would watch it on my computer during my lunch break, back when I was still working for a living. I am retired now, and a couple of years or so ago, I remembered this video and wanted to watch it again. Of course, I could not find it in my history, because I had watched it on a different computer with a different sign in. I spent hours searching for it but without success. I did so on multiple occasions but had no luck. I concluded that it must have been removed for some reason or other. Then, two days ago I searched again using a different approach, and there it was, about the fourth hit that came up. Maybe the search is now using AI or something, but whatever changed, I found this fantastic video again. Thank you for posting it.

I would add an inline fuse next to the battery connection. If something in your switch setup goes haywire, things are going to get very hot unbelievably fast. I've seen this happen.
@rogerjohnson28932 ай бұрын
Thank you for this video , very helpful. My question is instead of using the switch. why not just grab the magnet and go back and forth to adjust your brakes? and yes I am a beginner at this . getting ready to install my first set of brakes on my camper.
@vincentsaladino920728 күн бұрын
Because the brake drum would be installed precluding your access to the magnet. Their are access holes with a removable rubber grommet on the opposite side of the backing plate adjacent to the adjuster for manually rotating of the star wheel adjuster, if you so desire.

Well you didn't have to pick cactus needles out of your butt, so that looks like a great success.

I used a screwdriver and a flashlight to adjust my self adjusting drum brakes. I set each tire the same as I would manual adjusting brakes. You can do it by clicking the lever up or down. You wasted a lot of time to do something that should take a few minutes. It took me longer to raise the wheel than it did adjusting the brake.

could you accomplish the same adjustment by jacking up the trailer and having someone depress the brake pedal on the tow vehicle?

They are drum brakes. Just manual adjust to a slight drag. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Your burning up the magnet by leaving it on for a per longed time.
@maicokid4 ай бұрын
How would you do that? My problem is keeping that adjustment "tang" out of the way while trying to adjust the adjuster wheel? Two screwdrivers? Thanks

Could you please explain How grasping the torque wrench at different locations changes The torque value.. I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around this on account of because it seems to me that the torque wrench is going to click at the predetermined torque setting regardless of where your hand is applying pressure

Is it safe to gamble on your existing head gasket? I personally would hate to have to do a timing job because I know I’ll screw it up and loose patience

This is amazing. In Switzerland we are not allowed with our hangliders to fly so high😢 i know the region from my holidays and it is beautiful👍

I stopped hang gliding 19 years ago when my son was born. I did do some inland flying, but mostly coastal flying above sand dunes just north of Noosa, Queensland, Australia. Launched via a 4x4 from the beach. This made me nostalgic, and a little sad. I love my son and I think it was the right thing to do considering I became a sole parent. I still have my Airborne Sting X country. Maybe I should replace the lines and fly again. Thanks for the memories and cool scenery and action.

Great video! Plan on doing this upgrade soon…one thing I noticed is instead of lubing the top of the washer, you can put them on totally clean , and just lube the bottom if the nut…serves the same purpose . Did you end of making a thread chaser with an old bolt? Or just blow out the threads? Thx BG

This is a great video! I have a question. I have had my 06 cummins apart for a while waiting on parts. Im installing the same injectors that you are. I had to replace pistons and overhaul it. My rail has not been capped off. Do you have a recommended procedure for cleaning it out to be sure I dont have an issue? I am running an air dog. Also Im going to drain out all the old fuel and replace the filter and separator as well. Thanks

One thing for certain. If you own an older or even newer diesel, you will keep coming back to quality videos like this. Very good mechanic practices in this one.
@seanmuehlhauser9612 Жыл бұрын
If your gonna torque with the crows foot there is math you have to do to.get an accurate torque value. I can't remember what it is anymore but the crows foot is essentially putting out more torque than the wrench is set at. So say I set the wrench at 100ft lbs then the crows foot would be putting out say 110ft lbs, not accurate but you get the point hopefully.
