Thank you for a great video. All the steps are nicely, explained, and easy to understand. I have a question regarding installation of this pump when I already have a water softener. Water softener is installed at the point if entry to house (I have one hose which is before water softener to plant waters). Would it still be all right to install this pump on the water heater or I need to install check wall just after the soft water softener ?
@BryanHansen3 ай бұрын
Same installation. Right at the water heater.
@RanveerJayani3 ай бұрын
@@BryanHansen if I don’t have a check valve after water softener, won’t the back flow from the pump to water softener cause any problems (especially during regeneration of water softener)?
@BryanHansen3 ай бұрын
No. The check valve for the temp you install under the furthest sink (part of the kit). The circulation pressure is very very low and creates a loop at the tank NOT the entire house system. (The loop is just in the hot water line). I have a water softener And you’ll be fine.
@phuha43553 ай бұрын
Hi, the pump circulates through the crossover valve. What if for some reason, the crossover valve being blocked, will the system be over pressured? I don’t see anyone install a hammer arrestor or a relief valve. Thank you!

Can you please clarify for me what oil you used. In the video you are using the bel ray 80w transmission oil. But the link you have in the description is for the bel ray 80w90 hypoid gear oil that is clearly labled hypoid (not transmission). Is there a difference in the two or is it just that they changed the bottle lable to say hypoid? Thanks for your info! The 80w transmission oil bottle says it's good for wet clutches. The hypoid 80w90 gear oil in your link says it's not recommended for wet clutches. Which one is the right one to use?
@BryanHansen3 ай бұрын
Definitely want the Hypoid. They changed the bottle.
3 ай бұрын
I understand that. But is the transmission 80w you used in the video actually hypoid or not? I bought the same bottle in your video a few months ago and just put it in my three fourtraxs yesterday. But realized the bottle didn't say hypoid on it so looked at your video again to make sure I got the right stuff. I did get the same stuff you are using. But if you look it up the 80w transmission oil says it is for wet clutches and the gear oil says it's not recommended for wet clutches. So, is the 80w transmission oil you used in the video hypoid oil or not? Do I need to change my fluid again with the bottle that is the 80w90 hypoid gear oil or is the 80w transmission oil like the bottle in your video OK?
