Great video. What kind of weird forest has palm trees mixed with conifers? Holy moly, my whole camping kit weighs 36 lbs and I thought that was heavy. I have the Giant Loop Great Basin with two possible pouches and the rogue dry bag, more than enough.

Nice vid, but I cannot understand why you need to put your knife down and change hands to eat? I have seen this often especially on American shows. Can anyone explain why this is the way of eating?

I can only speak for myself but the reason I switch hands is because I'm right handed and I can't use the knife in my left hand.I prefer to use the fork and knife in my right hand when eating. Hope that makes sense and thank you for watching.

I’m working on getting some lighter less bulky gear and not take as much stuff. Also my left pannier is bent and I couldn’t put much weight in it. I had to take an extra bag to hold my camera gear. Thank you for watching.

Have you seen this one before ? 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZbdhXitoNWVpqs I've got an SR500 with small panniers, for the last seven years when traveling on my bike I've been sleeping on rest area picnic benches or next to fires in riding gear with no sleeping bag I've gotta make a rack I've bought all the materials just gotta bother to fabricate it, than I'll have the carrying capacity for the luxury of luxuries a sleeping bag The other thing I'm looking at is making a couple of containers that mount under the panniers so I can carry either 3 litres of water or fuel I usually have a military canteen but it only holds one litre I've bought a couple of those adventure bike toolbox tubes with the screw on lids I could use them but I'm thinking of maybe making tubes from 90 millimetres plastic pipe or even better (looking) stainless steel pipe, still thinking about it It's a pain when you find a nice place but can't stay longer than overnight for want of drinking water

It's called a bull bar or light bar and it's from Touratech. I haven't purchased the light for it yet so I'm using it to mount one of my GoPros. Thanks for watching!

Before the scene when the bike was smoking I got the bike stuck in the sand. I was trying to get it out and the bike fell over, that's why it was smoking so much. Thank you for watching.

I would love to have a camp fire but from the ordinance I read we can't have fires when primitive camping in the national forest. Especially now in the dry season. Man it looks like you gotta lot a shit on the bike. Enjoyed the video though, i have most of the stuff you have and it works well. But dude, it seems you worry about your hats dont worry about that 😅 your camping, hat head is ok.

Thank you for watching the video and I'm glad you enjoyed it. And I do have a lot of stuff on the bike. My left pannier is bent up and I couldn't put much weight in it. I purchased some new soft bags so it's a little better now but I still need to downsize. And you're right I need to stop messing with my hat. Sometimes I don't realize it until I see myself on the video, also I kept hitting my hat on the tent and knocking it off. Thanks again.

Great first video. I hope to watch many more. Looks like your BMW needs new rings, it was smoking like a 2 stroke at 2.50. The flopped on the side 3 & 4 cylinder BMWs used to do that because BMW messed up by putting the gap in the ring the wrong way round. What is the size of the table you have ? S,M or L. I enjoyed the video and will subscribe.

Thanks for watching. The cooler is a Yeti Hopper M20 soft backpack cooler. It looks like they're out of them on Amazon, Dicks Sporting Goods and at Yeti. I purchased mine from Dicks Sporting Goods a few years ago when they had a sale on Yeti coolers.
