How can I make a similar item using foam. Cause I want to print moire patterns just like Pat Kim does. He uses wooden crossed helical patterns. But I want to replicate the same using foam.

Great Jig. But I had to change the setup as my router rotation is with the grain and that was just a bad idea to try. Love that jig though!

$150 top? 2024 in the UK we can buy a full size precision drilled MFT top for £50. I have priced all options. Nothing comes close to buying a ready made top.

Excellent video. I need a single template with radius = 11/16" but would rather not take the time to build your (ingenious) jig. Would you be interested in creating the template for me to purchase?

With enough patience and festool anyone can do this stuff. I looked up this project after seeing an old timer do this project with nothing but a pen knife. You loose the organic feel in the end result when you are this precise. Respect to the organization and planning but the real skill shows when someone does this stuff with a knife and sandpaper. Keep up the good work.

I am watching this video again, several years after the first time, and now that I have seen other mechanisms here I understand it better. You explained it easily but my brain needed some additional examples to really understand it.

I used my track saw for the first time today and I experienced just what you did when cutting the edge of my white oak. I was very disappointed that there was so much dust after all the hype of the cordless mini. I thought because the suction is not great but now I am glad to see it was just not me.

Brilliant. I was just today pointing out to my wife what a haemorrhoid the Festool ridged tubing is as I was setting up my new shop and was considering buying the new smooth hoses. This is a great idea and I can get a colour to match my outfit - joking of course. Good point about length being proportional to diameter. The vendor does point this out on the eBay site but your video dem is a great graphical illustration of the point. Thanks for doing this 🤓👍🏻

Excellent video. I was thinking of buying the UJK part guide (I am in the UK) but I have owned an LR32 system since 2008 - Duuuh, talk about hiding in plain sight. Thanks for opening my eyes, it never crossed my mind to use in this way. Thanks for your effort and input. 🤓👍🏻

0:11 the bottom of your device swings from left to right while the top is pined. Is this swing intentional or a side effect? If it is intentional, how do you get this swing from only rotation of metal rod?
