I think wooden chain a little for other purposes. For the beauty. It is interesting to look at the test. Like!

Now glue it back together and laminate on a piece at cross-grained angles. Hmm, someone said purpleheart further down, but I wonder about some OLD 2x4s, like the ones John would have pulled from his home renovation -- tighter grained older grown wood? Hmm. Oh well, it's just for fun.

Pound for pound, how does that compare to spider silk? I'm guessing the spider wins hands down, or should I say all eight feet down😉 Thanks for the test 🙋

Mattias would be proud. But how about purpleheart chains? Padauk chains? Walnut chains? How about thicker stock? Arent you a bit sad destroying a pretty impressive piece of work? But all that aside, i really enjoyed this video!

I'm really surprised! Thought it would burst at less than 10lbs.

Inspired by your video to make one of these, I was going to rush home after work to test my chain's strength. Unfortunately someone stole my bike.

Neat test. At 30 lbs breaking load that only give you 3 lbs of working load if my rigging education is being remembered correctly (10%).
