It's funny how I wouldn't care much about the slightly-lower aggregate reviews of this game if only it didn't have such high contrast lines covering the beautiful art work! I would rather the tiles fit together without connectors or even a full, beautiful one-piece standard board of the artwork! I would buy it just for the art alone!

We did hear that in later printings the lines were faded slightly but we haven't seen a recent copy to check this.

Goodness. That was three years ago now! Judging by the width we would guess they are KMC Perfect Size 64 x 89mm. Hope that helps.

Atlanta radio theater company made some excellent Lovecraft stories. Personally I prefer them head and shoulders over the Dark Theater ones.

Wait, so at the beginning of each game you add a NEW weakness? So in a campaign of say, 5 games, at the 5th game you'll have 5 weakness cards in your deck? Or you just have the one from the first game and it follows through all 5 games of the campaign only having a single weakness throughout the 5 games?

At the start of each campaign you begin with a level zero deck. Your Investigator’s deckbuilding instructions will tell you what mandatory cards you must include. Usually their signature weakness and a basic weakness. When playing through the campaign a scenario resolution or other text may tell you to add a specific campaign weakness or one copy of a random basic weakness. There is no mandatory step to add a new basic weakness before each new game in a campaign.

Aurbits are pretty certain about their durability but we always use them with coin capsules. It helps them circulate in the bag better too.

For those starting out. The official branded binders/port folios are extremely poor quality, purchased one threw it in the bin. The sleeve pages are sticky and are hard to flip from the bottom with your thumb an because the pages stick together it makes it alot hard to browse. Binder started to crack immediately. Recommend Ultimate Guard or ultra pro binders. From your local TCG shop.

As in how do you play it? It is an asset with a free triggered ability. If you have it in hand you can attach it to the location your investigator is at during any player window in any phase. It then stays there. When the Rougarou enters that location it attaches to its card (and stays attached) giving the Rougarou -1 to its fight and evade values.

When moving up the regional influence tracks you don’t count any spaces ahead of you that have other player’s markers in. You get to move an extra square i.e. jump over their marker.

Hey friend. Using the Spanish pronunciation of Machete is a long running gag inspired by the Great Old Ones Gaming podcast, a fantastic listen for fans of Lovecraft, Arkham Horror and Cthulhu. One of their hosts is a native Spanish speaker so that’s how it came about. Sorry you didn’t get the joke :(

the investigators of arkham was a cheap cash in for fantasy flight. terrible writing, paper thin characters with no real motivations, no real horror, just vibes and a real lack of interesting motivations, drama or even writing made it just a big picture book rip off. there was no lovecraft here, it was worse than disneyfication because it wasn't even any fun. what a horrible piece of consumer driven crap

who builds a bridge over an island? it happens basically everywhere in the world. many notable versions of this in nyc alone. look up 'roosevelt island' for some interesting videos on what the best city planning like (and what america could be if the politicans really gave a damn. it's like a walkable european city *within* nyc)
