The thing is, to get the original silent hill 2 and 3, you have to dish out over 100$ for each now a days, and the remastered collections only like 30$

I've played this game and seen Backdraft and it's sequel(Yes there's a sequel to Backdraft), and aside from the fighting of what is basically humanoid fire demons the plot of Firefighter F.D. 18 actually for the most part lines up with the films' plot aka the lead firefighter protagonist discovers what that what seemed like acts of random arson are actually linked as part of a bigger conspiracy set in motion by a antagonist in some position of authority or political power.

They legit thought that remastering a game means cleaning up the town, making it a bit less foggy and blurry, fixing the roads and of course a fresh layer of asphalt never hurts. Now it's almost livable. 😁

These complaints are some of the dumbest stuff I’ve ever heard. I’ve got the original games and played them as they came out and the HD collection for new fans to play isn’t a bad thing at all. These purist fans make me laugh, dude couldn’t play it because he was so offended by a different voice cast (even though in SH2 it gives you the option for original voice acting) slightly different musical tones and clean roads. Seriously?

So many reviewers do this.....completely neglect to even mention that its 2 player. Let alone give a description of how the 2 player game actually play 😢

I must be so oblivious. I played the HD collection and it seemed fine to me. Were there some issues? Oh for sure. But if you listen to the way people act, you would think they were unplayable messes. They are nowhere near that bad.

I still have not played this and yet just by seeing the videos of this and 1 and the remake makes me feel terrified, honestly man i have played so many games over the years but this just by the videos alone is giving me literal nightmares.

I played SH2 on the series x and had zero problems

SH2 and 3 HD collection is awesome, I played the originals on the ps2 when they first came out, and the HD collection is a great trip down memory lane, still playing now, same copy I bought when it first came out, love the HD collection, money well spent, just wish there was also a HD version of the first game.

The PS3 versions is the best version of the HD collection, they release some patches for the ps3 that never made it to the Xbox 360 version, like the fog some textures and the audio issues, Konami did the Xbox 360 owner dirty

It’s so funny in these silent hill HD videos where they always show the different voice performances back to back as if the redone voices are horribly unbearable. They both sound… fine. Kind of think the HD versions might even be better.

try to use gsm and make the resolution 480P i think it will enhance the experience much better

besides the higher resolution upscaling does the tink4k also correct the thinner aspect ratio? so it would look wrong only with GSM 480p forcing?

Personally, I know the hd colection fails a lot, but its an acessible way for new fans to play the game without having to emulate or get a ps2

You have to admire Konami/Kojima Co's artdesign in Metal Gear Solid 2. It holds up incredibly well. It is a shame MGS2 does not natively have an in-game toggle for 480p since it clearly benefits from that extra clarity (even at 512x448).

I have a soft spot for Namco's aesthetic choices in Tekken 4, it is only a shame the game got eviscerated by the FGC back on original release. Maybe it is the most under-rated Tekken? Maybe that is my nostalgia talking. Anyway, maybe also unsurprisingly, Tekken 4 looks glorious on the RetroTink 4K.

It is undeniably chunky looking, although that is a good thing imo. I see someone else is also repping the Live Gamer 4K - GC573 now. I recently bought one to see how it stacked up against my Elgato devices, in particular HD60X and HD60S. One thing I do want to ask: Are you using Triple Buffer? I get weird audio popping, at random intervals, if I choose any other form of sync.

I really need to get the xbox version to see if that is also as low-res looking like the PS2. One game I like on RetroTink5x if I dont confuse it (the game is really lower than low texture quality) is Dead Rising on PS3. One reason I havent played PC yet, except region locking 99% of the keysellers for Germans. I am always impressed when a non CRT with RTK5x can make it look good. LG C1 48" but game is displayed windowed throught OBS and with the sh t gato 4k so that I see a smooth picture and can multitask while recording longplays.

HD Collection was given a 9 by IGN.

I'm sure no one will ever read this but I wasn't aware of the issues surrounding SHHD collection. Because I never played those games before, but the collections are on sale right now so I did some research and I discovered this whole controversy. That being said SH fans, you have my indispensable and total support! I feel your pain because a game I really like has been censored for no reason since it got added to the BC program on Xbox and it's Resident Evil ORC. Now all the digital version is censored and a lot of things have been cut which makes the experience worse if you ever played the original release. They even updated the Xbox 360 version like wtf... Imagine a game you bought digitally 10+ years ago and then it randomly got censored... Unfortunately the community doesn't really care since REORC is not a beloved game, but I'm still pissed about it. Now the only way to play the uncensored version of REORC on the Xbox platform, you need the actual physical copy and a real xbox 360 console. Which luckily for me I still have both of these but my digital copy is forever messed up and they will never fix it. And the worst of Microsoft is still advertising REORC as the uncensored version, they didn't even update the pictures... Wouldn't that be falsely advertised? I've been thinking about this for years, but I'll be finally making the switch to PC. So many similar stories with the console market these days and it keeps getting worse. I always played on PC but never had a powerful PC.

You might like SOS for the SNES. I really enjoyed that game.
