Did you stay with this set up? or did you go for the bow mount motor guide set up?
@kreigadkins16 күн бұрын
I went with a Hobie PA 14 with a Motorguide XI3. for about 2 years. The problem with that setup was to use the spotlock you have to put the nose of the boat into the wind and you can't turn around and fish out of the back of my boat while bottom fishing or bobber fishing. So this year I noticed in that Bass Pro Shop had the Tracker Grizzly 1436 with a 15hp Mercury package for $4,195. That was less than my Hobie. So I bought one and put my Xi3 on it and rigged it just like my Hobie and I found the perfect fishing machine. I can troll, spider rig, cast, bottom fish, bobber fish and never have to use an anchor. and the bonus was that it will do 25mph with the outboard. I have been using it for 3 months and I love it. I am planning on doing a video on the boat in the next week. I love my tiny boat. Keep watching!

He said a "Great Value" scope 😅😅 Anyways.... I bought this exact scope from Walmart to break in my AR 6.5 grendel upper while I waited for my scope to ship to me. It actually is a good scope and have since put it on my girlfriends 556 AR

Minimal constriction is best with these Versatite wads. The wad itself acts as the choke by containing the shot for several yards down range before slowing down as the more dense shot is keeps going in a uniform column. By running it through a tight choke you damage the wad and deform the pellets, neither help your pattern.

After watching this I feel even better about my purchase. Not just a budget gun, but a very accurate gun that happens to be priced reasonably. Picked it up with everything for $500 barely used.

Fun rifle. Mine is a standard 22" barrel in 22LR. Burris Droptine Rimfire Scope 3-9x30. Zeroed at 50 yds. Great for plinking and you can shoot on a budget. I got four firearms in .22LR and three of them are Ruger (American Rimfire, MkIV 22/45 and 10/22). All are great shooters and you can get all three for roughly $1000. Considering the cost of so many firearms and the price of ammo, having three options to be able to shoot on a budget is a good deal IMO.

Shotshells within a lot will vary so much that you can shoot all 5 rounds through the same choke and it will look like you used 5 different chokes. The manufacturer used a bigger sample size to determine which choke they recommend.

Great video… I’m new to learning how to wiper fish on my own. When you were in 18 feet of water, were you fishing on the bottom or did you have your bait suspended with the bobber? If so, at what dept?
@kreigadkins5 ай бұрын
In that video I was fishing about 7 feet deep in 18 feet of water. During the summer, most wipers will be found suspended in 6-10 feet of water. you can find them on your depth finder following schools of shad. An easy way to locate them in the summer is to watch for them to blow up on the surface in the mornings and evenings. you can anchor in the area they were feeding in and they will find you. The depth finder is important. You will need to shut your motor off and watch for them on the screen. They will usually be single marks or groups of 2-3 fish. Whatever depth you see them at on your screen, that is the depth you want to fish. Watch some of my other wiper videos for some additional tips. Good luck and thanks for watching!

so is this still better than any of the newest Old Town's ? I heard the standing stability is better on the Old Town's, true or false? Thanks for all you do to keep us informed!!!!
@kreigadkins6 ай бұрын
Without a doubt it is the best. There is a night and day difference between the Hobie PA 14 and any of the Oldtown Kayaks. I never felt comfortable standing in my Oldtown Predator I have no problems standing in my PA14. I think the most noticeable difference is the stability and all the room in it that I didn't have in my other kayaks. It's more like a boat than a kayak. For the record, I haven't changed anything on my setup from this video except for the battery clamps. Thanks for watching!!!

The barrel has no open sights so why not just mold a decent Montecarlo stock with a cheekpiece that looks decent. Ruger spends too much time effort and money on the gimmicks. The forend on this gun is an absolute failure too.
