Hi! Probably depends on the country and the local regulations. I have personally rented a property to sublease it as an Airbnb, but if anyone here has done so in another country please share your perspective

Haven’t found anything with enough depth or specificity. I imagine it’s hard to write a book and have it be evergreen/uptodate. I mainly did a lot of KZbin videos and podcasts

Hey Kari! Sounds like something your management company needs to be in charge of. Ask about their inspection process and how they go through each room and each drawer each cabinet to make sure it’s ready. If you are self managing remotely that’s different, but in this case you shouldn’t have to troubleshoot this yourself!

Yes to leading research projects! Most think of research as in drug development and pharmacy takes more of a dispensing roles in those, however pharmacist led research can be fun and fulfilling. :-) a few examples- - developing/using/teaching a whole hospital to use beta lactam levels in ICU patients to optimize antibiotic therapy and researching how it changes outcomes (this one is an NIH grant that pays for the pharmacist’s salary) - researching how best to manage anticoagulant therapy for hypothermic patients with a different metabolism - this one was funded partly by project days at our academical medical center - there’s also health equity research, quantifying the value of certain interventions, cost related topics, IT related topics, and anything in between. We’ve found our nursing and physician partners wonderful to collaborate with. Hope this helps!

@@lydiapatelll Thanks! This is very insightful and is the kind of research I would love to work on. I appreciate the examples. I'm a paramedic and 3rd year PhD student in biostats. As much as I love paramedicine, it's not a long-term career option for me. So I'm considering other options for when I finish my PhD. Ideally, it would be a clinical role that would also allow me to do research. PharmD is starting to look like a really attractive option!

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to make the video was to highlight that- it’s not worth it for everyone. For us, the loan paydown + appreciation has worked well in our favor, and that’s where most of the returns are. Like with all investments there’s risk/effort vs benefit 😊 hope this was a useful datapoint for anyone considering Airbnb-inf!

Are you in the US? I’d say my job is low on patient interaction and I like it that way (prefer interacting with other healthcare providers). Depends on what you like! No growth in terms of salary- just annual raises and adjustments. Not everyone wants the “promotion” to manage other people/do admin stuff

That doesn't sound bad actually. Also to become a pharmacist like you, how many years of uni do I need to do before I get to work? Thanks.
