Special teams are the unknown which cost Oregon last year. The LBs will be the number 1 portion group on the defense as the front 4 will keep the guards off of them and the secondary is so good they can blitz and cover the from inside to outside

We picked up a reliable kicker from Oregon State who only missed one FG last year and it was from the 40-49 yd range where he still went 5-6 on the year. A definite upgrade from Cam last year. If there's any worry for Oregon it's at safety and that's not from lack of talent, only depth. That said with this D line and the LB/CB room there's few teams, if any, that will be able to allow the QB enough time to make deep passes that'll test the safety room to begin with.

@@BIG10_Quicktalk In a battle between those fighting for money, verses those fighting for country, I go with country. Kirby wants those who fight for what they believe in, rather than those looking primarily for a big payday. We all know how OSU got their roster ($$$$). Think some who work really hard for a much less payday might not feel a bit slighted? Kirby doesn't play that game. Such ruins team cohesion. When Bear Alexander tried playing Kirby by demanding more playing time, he didn't get what he wanted and hit the portal, though UGA probably would have won it all had they had Bear last year, as our D line wasn't up to standard. Still, Kirby sent a message others hear. To those wishing to play for more than just the cash, that means something. As it should - no matter the school.

At KU, Devin Neal and Cobee Bryant don’t round out (finish) the RB and CB rooms, they are just the tip of the iceberg. Mello Dotson was also an all conference CB, and Daniel Hishaw was said to have more nfl potential than Neal. There’s plenty more behind them as well, though CB depth in particular is young. The bad news is that while it’s easy to see KU at 11-1 given a really soft schedule, it is tough to see the committee giving any league other than P2 a second team.
