The BigTen will certainly be interesting. You have eight new coaches, and four more coaches in just their second year in the conference. There are only two coaches who have ever won a Big Ten championship, Ryan Day, and Kirk friggin’ Ferentz back in 2004. Between the new teams from the PAC 12, the transfer portal, the scrapping of divisions, and a CFP which might take four Big Ten teams, likely including a team with three losses, unpredictable things will happen.

The Big Ten has always been rated too high in the rankings (media love, or is it money?), though they've been making up for it lately in bowl games (conference pride, and getting tired of losing them). Ohio State (and now finally Michigan) usually pulls its weight.

Um. Yeah obviously if your going by spring game than obviously you didn't watch Ohio states spring game because that offensive line and QB play could easily be positions of weakness compared to the rest of the squad. They are in no way right now a position of strength or consistency but that could easily grow over the summer and into the season. They also didn't have the starting line ups together during the spring game so that could play into what we saw as well. Now the quarterback spot is a different story. A lot of talented depth and compititon but nobody standing out as HIM right now. That to could play out. Ultimately I don't expect Ohio state to be able to move the ball well against Michigan and that game is going to come down to who has the biggest balls come 4th quarter.

Tell me you don't know anything about USC without telling me you don't know anything about USC. Yes the defense was absolutely trash last year and totally agree. I actually started laughing after the 3rd or fourth bad defense comment. As for the skilled position, you know nothing John Snow.. Duce, Makai and Ja'Kobi were all top 50-100 recruits and should have played more last year, Kyron Hudson was effective as a starter last year. Branch is Branch and we have quite a few reinforcements in that area from the transfer portal. LSU game is going to open a lot of eyes when the USC defense controls the LSU offense.

Iowa will probably win 9-10 games just because of their schedule. I don’t think USC is overrated…I think they’re more of a wild card. OSU vs. Oregon could be the game of the decade. I’d give the slight edge to Oregon because they’re at home and have the better QB.

I mean as pissed as us fans get,the reality is even when we lost to Ohio State and the cheaters the last 2 years, they were both in the top 4 in the nation, and I think we definitely have the talent and depth, but the Franklin factor is absurd!!!! The Defense was ranked 7th fyi, and that will drop with the amount of decent offenses they will play compared to last year when every offense they played was legit crap. Offense will get better cause it was soooo bad last year, but I’m not a believer in Cade McNamera, and their skill positions I believe are the worst in the BIG. Iowa will win some games don’t get me wrong, but Iowa won’t win more than 8. I will provide an in depth explanation when my team specific Iowa video will drop.

The only real defensive person that would made a impact was cooper dejean but they are all back and I just read that they have everyone back and they project them as the number one defense or near the top and its funny because they are deep at running back and tightends are one the best in the country. Cade has struggled with injuries but he is a competitor and the northwestern transfer qb is alright and I will love how you guys act like you know everything you have always been critical of iowa when they have been a top program according to the statistics.

Ohio St. is overrated. Will Howard has never been the guy in his career. Their back ups were pretty bad in the bowl game and in the spring game. The O-line, TE's and LB's are middle of the pack in the conference. They also lack sufficient depth at WR and Emeka has never been a number 1 before. I think the Buckeyes have been trending down for some time now and it's finally going to break for them. Portal guys aren't going to plug up the holes.

If OSU loses a game it would be Oregon, but I don't see that happening. They will be undefeated in the regular season and most likely play Oregon again. Penn St will be 3rd in the BIG10. Iowa will be tough because of D, all they need is a pulse on O to get 9-10 wins. TTUN, they will have issues mainly because of new coaching staff but also new players.

Your take on Penn State is trash. They finally have a real offensive coordinator. Getting Tom Allen as a defensive coordinator is as big as Ohio State getting Chip Kelly for their offense. When was Penn State the favorite over Ohio State or Michigan? They have had the misfortune of being in the same division for a long time now that's gone. I think the only game they lose is against Ohio State. Then they will play Ohio State again in the Big Ten championship game. Drew Allar will take a massive step forward this year. Having Julian Fleming in that receiving room is huge. Loaded on defense as always. The offense still has one of the best running back combos in the country. This is clearly a top 10 team. I don't know what you're looking at.

Ohio State is absolutely loaded. every unit on the field is loaded with nfl draft picks. there are several Buckeyes gearing up for the 2024 season, who'd otherwise be signing nfl contracts. there are many players on this team who'd have been drafted, but chose to come back to Columbus. that should terrify every team on Ohio State's schedule. with Ryan Day's passing attack and Chip Kelly's running game, the Buckeye offense will be lethal. Jim Knowles's defense was great last year, and will be even better this year. these Silver Bullets will destroy opposing offenses. certainly there are some tough games this year. at oregon and at penn st will both be very tough, but Ohio State has superior talent, and will win those games. the other game of note is the game against cheatagain. it's one thing to beat the Buckeyes when you have all of their signals, and you know what plays are coming, enabling you to call the correct counter-play, and a whole other thing to play the Buckeyes when you don't have a cheat code. almost the entire xichigan coaching staff and any offensive player with a pulse abandoned that sinking ship. the defense will probably be pretty good, but how well will they hold up when the offense is going 3 and out all game? even the best defenses wear out, and cheatagain's defense isn't the best. the Buckeye defense is better, and Ohio State's offense exists on a whole other level from the skunk weasel offense. sherone moore might want to petition the big 10 for a mercy rule. otherwise things are going to get very ugly for cheatagain in the 'Shoe this year.

Pretty big question mark at the QB position, Will Howard is not unquestionably better than McCord and he's much older. Possible downgrade at the position, and the way McCord was used as a sacrificial lamb was wild. Stupid move on OSU's part. That being said, OSU has top tier talent every single year. Acting like elite talent is going to make all the difference shows you don't understand, at all, why OSU has been falling short. There's never been a shortage of talent my guy.

@@wolverinesfan9021 define 'falling short'. what's considered falling short at Ohio State, would be considered historically great at most other programs. 33 wins in 3 years ain't bad. within the conference, the only thing stopping the Buckeyes was xichigan's cheating scheme. with the departure of stallions and hairball, the cheating scheme is no more. outside the conference, the Buckeyes won the rose bowl in 2021, were a missed fg from winning a national championship in 2022, and last year it took the Buckeyes being down to a true freshman qb, who'd never thrown a pass in a live game, for mizzou to beat them. even by Ohio State's lofty standards, the 2024 Buckeyes are loaded. elite talent isn't the only consideration, but unless you have every opponent's signals tucked up your sleave, it's an extremely important one.
