Around 2001 there was a CD of wedding hymns created as a fundraiser for mgocsm. The original GOAT musician Emil Varghese produced it with a few singers in the northeast U.S. It defined how the whole Malankara world sings many of the hymns ever since then. A lot of the melodies were modified from the original tones 3 and 7.

Hearing this over and over and realize the notes fall into a D Melodic Minor scale. Am sure there some music theory to justify the scale transpose from C Major to a D Melodic Minor.

The phone that was used to record this was placed smartly - on a ledge close to a speaker near the front of the nave (away from the bells/maruvasa) and also well spaced from the congregation (so it doesn't pick up any loud individuals in the congregation). The large size of this parish made that placement possible. I add a lot of plugins in post-editing. Learned to use a compressor and limiter to maximize volume and keep it sounding natural.

we will forgive when the church leadership stops creating cases and conquering only the large-income churches that are with the other faction and let them worship in the churches that their forefathers built with the blood, sweat, and tears, and money that they earned to feed their children. The people on both sides are smart and know the truth. But the leadership is the one after the money and power.
