Fascinating! This lecture has made me re-assess some of those nasty KZbin comments left by westerners where they say things like: "The Middle East needs dictators, that's the only way those people can be controlled". I always just assumed that these were the personal views of bigoted Westerners. Now I am thinking that they might have been inspired to have such nasty views because of their liberal philosophers who preceded them.

Peoples identity were fused with family community. Opinions former together. Centre of Islam is Medina. They have sabaqa and excellence. Baby umayyah fifth cousins of prophet. 5th grandfather.
