Several people seem to be searching for those boat guides. They wouldn't be that hard to make. It's just a 2x4, heavy metal strapping, and a few U bolts. It's a little late in the season, but if we have a nice day I will make some. If there's enough interest, I'll make a video.

That back strap setup doesn’t seem correct. If one breaks or comes loose, the other strap is then completely useless. If you strap straight down to the trailer… and one breaks… the other is still effective.

This is good info for so many. It's what I do but i spin in revers quickly for just a few seconds and works for me -- any downside to that verus backing up slowly 2 full boat lengths?

Just watched a barletta video just like this. Bragging how they’re the best at everything. Then stating they use a 3/8 plywood for the deck. Which might suffice but it is a big difference compared to 3/4.

Not sure crossing the tie down straps under the center pontoon is a good idea, appears you are putting upward pressure on the center rear toon.

I love the Bennington products but don’t understand why they use wood that can rot, reducing the life of the boat. 🫣😳🤔 Why there isn’t complete protection to the wood from underneath where it’s exposed to the water? 🧐🙄🤯

Huh?? They clearly stated underbody shielding comes stock on triple toons and optional on double. Also they use the highest grade MARINE RATED plywood. They also offer a LIFETIME warranty on the entire structure. I think it’s safe to say they know what they’re doing. I’ve drilled a hole through my deck for some additional wires and it is some serious stuff.

@@robertsrt I understand the point that you’re trying to make and I agree with your view on the quality of the marine graded plywood. My query was why use anything that could rot? In some rv’s they use another material for the walls etc… that aren’t compromised by water. Why don’t they use an alternative material? By the way, I think Bennington products are really good. 👍🏻👏🏻😃

That can become an issue if you have surge brakes and need to have the Reverse light circuit engaged to turn on the trailer brake disable solenoid for backing up. Unless you want to use the bypass pin, but the electric option is there for a reason.

These videos are hilarious.. What percent of Bennington pontoon boat buyers are gorgeous people in their 20's maybe 30's? I'm 42, losing my hair and 40 pounds overweight. The classic pontoon buyer.. And they only getter older and fatter from there! Hahah! Come on Bennington next time you make a commercial put on the real people who are buying these things!

I'm a river boater, there's always a current flow, and when I line the fronts up over the bunks I need to get on fast!.. because the current 'bends' the rear of the boat over to one side, making it want to jump the bunks. Maybe the guides are what I need.. the 'outside post' guides do not work. They provide and axel for the boat to pivot off of.

Nice we have a used 2016 Bennington pontoon has no snaps or original cover we have a after market cover tide with ropes idk how this will go we just bought boat any suggestions

Have the great engineers redesign the placement of the transducer in these X2 models. The transducer quickly comes out of the water making it useless at just under 10 mph and above. 2024 30 QSBWA x2 owner here.

First let me say that we have loved our Benningtons. But the quality audit must not be the same as quality control, or it started after Sept 2023. We took delivery of a 2024 30 QSBWA x2 at the end of September 2023 and the things found were crazy. First, welding wire stuck and sticking out from the pontoons. On one weld it was in two places. And one was over an inch long. Interesting thing is we paid for the manufacturer to apply Sharkhide, so during this process those welding wires should have been caught and surely snagged the applicator that was being used. Actually shocked the employee applying the Sharkhide didn't get cut by one of the wires. Second, the forward bimini support poles, both were assembled up side down. The ends rivets had to be drilled out, the poll flipped and the ends re-riveted. Third, one of the aft panels a good section of anodizing, for the blackout package, was missing. Fourth, the stern gate couldn't even close, and the railing is loose. Fifth, the security codes for the Yamaha key fobs were not shopped with the boat. Sixth, the star nuts for the new style headrest do not stay, I had to replace them with nylox nuts so that the head rest would stack connected to the boat. Seventh, paying for the manufacturer to apply the Sharkhide, so many places were missed it's crazy, and it shows the Sharkhide manufacturers recommended two applications were not done, only a single application.

I have a 2022 20LLG I purchased new. The fuel and trim gauges are terribly inaccurate and have been since the day I brought ti home. I contacted my dealer and they said they are calibrated from the factory and that is something they do not perform. Why didn't my dealer calibrate them before I picked up my $46,000.00 boat?
