Great job brother! I have had my Jdm Integra sitting here for the last 5-6 years because I need to do some welding and custom fabrication. But like most I haven’t welded since highschool. I e already joined the Army, did 10 years and got injured and now I’m a 100% disabled veteran that can’t work. I’m bored out of my mind and I can’t afford to pay to have my car fixed. And I’ve wanted a go kart since I was a kid. Well I found a cheap go kart frame and I stripped it down to find that it’s cracked in the frame and I need to weld in the rear live axle mounts. I’m debating on getting that Titanium welder from HF too. I’m just scared that I won’t figure it out and I’ll just embarrass myself. I e gotten some brain damage from my time in the Army and I now struggle with a learning disability and I have Narcolepsy. But I have to re learn a lot of things I used to know. I’ve forgotten a lot of knowledge, friends and family too. But I just don’t have any friends that can help me when I need help lifting heavy stuff since I have a broken back and a Bent back tailbone. But Honestly I just might go give it a try. I’ll save up and get that welder and helmet and whatever else I need and go for it. I want to drive my car so bad. It’s a AWD Turbo H2B J front Integra. It’s been a dream since i lived in Japan back in 2006.

uhh put a block of copper behind it then weld it so you dont melt the piece and the copper will let you weld while helping to keep the weld from getting to hot...if you dont have the right wire and heat/ settings
@TurbochargedTactics2 ай бұрын
So the weld won't stick to the copper? I appreciate you looking out. I am always about learning new things.
@CraigCharest-du2ltАй бұрын
Or you could just set the the welder to the correct adjustment and feed ..ureeka!
@TurbochargedTacticsАй бұрын
Lol still working on that one lol only way I learn is by failing a lot 😂
@CraigCharest-du2ltАй бұрын
Only way to truly learn is through failure and mistakes.. Make sure the area is clean of all paint etc.. That will get you good current throughout the weld.. If your burning through have it set too high.. Lower the wire feed too .. Slow and steady wins the race!
@CraigCharest-du2ltАй бұрын
The copper trick is if you are blowing out the metal from the weld .. Copper will help prevent it from blowing out but easier trick turn down the current and feed and work up from there .. Easier to have a weld that dont hold rather than blow out all the metal and end up with a gap you cant fill

Hey so your comment on 'my brain is working this week'. Have you ever talked to a doctor about depression? I spent 3 years where I thought my brain basically broke and no longer worked. Couldn't generate a thought, couldn't get motivated to do anything. I got treated for depression with just a daily pill. Made an enormous difference about a month after. If you feel like that might be the same for you, just ask a doctor. The medication for that is dirt cheap too.
