Struts / suspension should always be replaced as a pair when vehicle is 30k miles + Inspect ALL Radius rods /Strut tops / bump rubber / bottom -- top ball joints should be very critically assessed . Any uncontrolled movement will cause potential knocking

First thing is train your dog to find it as a safe haven, leave the door open, leave treats and toys and stay in the room with them, have music on or a tv and leave for a few mins. And come back, extend your leave. So it’s a gradual process but very successful! Plus if you see weak areas that’s what zip ties are for. But you just can’t throw them in and walk away that’s cruel!

If the metal buttons come off…Take some RTV silicone and a toothpick…put a tiny dab on the toothpick and place that on the rubber where the button should be. Place the metal button back on the silicone and let it set up overnight. Puts it back to the original configuration. But then your tape works well also.
