Hi Tobi, Your tutorials are very impressive and I have created a mobile application to Visualize a 3D object created using blender (with textures) in real world using AR Lightship. In here we used WPS (VPS). I can see the object in exact position (GPS coordinates) , but I'm facing several problems like I'm not able to see the model textures and other thing is the object is positioned bit high from the ground level. Is there any reason for this issue? I want to move down it to ground level. I'm glad if you can suggest a way to solve this. Thank you in advance!

Sure :) So first of all are you using VPS or WPS (They sound similar but are very different) and did you follow some kind of tutorial or documentation? About the texture issue, is this something that happens only when using Location based AR or does this also happen in a normal ar scene?

@@danayitmulugeta5545 So the issue is that as far as I know only iOS / AR-Kit has full body tracking, while Lightship / AR Core do not support this feature. But it would be quite cool. On XR Glasses this is definitely a thing.

@@AliveStudios_ Actually what i was trying to do was, I followed your tutorial on the object detection and works wonderfully the issue is I want to spawn a 3d on the specific detected object for example if I detect a couch I want to replace that with 3d couch fully instead of spawning it on top or near but fully cover it with the new 3d object, is that possible ??

Thanks for the tutorial! I tried this, but only the second script works properly. I want to pre-place some objects though. I have no errors, but the objects still don't appear on the device. However, when I playtest in Unity, the debug.log statements seem to work well (Placing object at longitude X and latitude Y appear). A bit late, but any suggestions?

Hi mate :) So if I get you right, pre-placing objects does not work for you, because the 3D Objects do not appear at their corresponding positions on device? Did you make sure to set in the Camera settings 14:08 the clipping plane option to 500, or even better something like 10.000 ?

My problem is that I am not sure if the loop that spawns the object actually works, because on the android device, the only log that appears is the: Status changed to available. When I run the game on Unity however, the game window shows the following logs: -Status changed to initializing. -[Warning] Package “Lightship World Positioning System (WPS) Plugin" has no loader metadata. Skipping loader initialization. (I saw on the site for ARDK 3.6 Release notes that this error is benign and can be ignored, so I am not sure if that’s the issue). However, in the editor window in Unity, the following debug statements appear: -Added object at latitude X and longitude Y. -Status changed to initializing. -Plugin Lightship World Positioning System (WPS) Plugin" has no loader metadata. @@user-xn7yt3oy7z So that means the Debug statement with the added object at latitude X etc. does not appear on your android device.. Is there by any chance another device (e.g. from a friend) that you could test this on? You can try to create a clean build under build setttings -> on the little arrow next to build -> clean build. Maybe this will help. Our first goal should be to get the log statement working on device. Did you also try to set the object at your immediate location, so that you could see them if they were there? Then also make sure that the occlusion manager which we added at 14:10 is turned of / disabled.

Hi mate :). There are many approaches to this. One would be to create a new empty game object which holds a script with a list of possible prefabs. This object could spawn at the detected lamps position let’s say. On Start() it would find out which object has been selected by the player (e.g. using the singleton pattern) and spawn it.

Hi, I faced an issue when I followed your tutorial, searching for help: I already import packages ARDK3, Shared-AR by git ref. I also copied ardk-sample-main to my Asset. I copied the API Key from my lightship dashboard to project validation. Hey man, your videos have been super helpful to me recently in trying to learn Shared AR especially with Multiplayer. I was wonderting if you happen to notice any new lag in your projects though? I created a game based on your multiplayer shootingAR tutorial and it was working super well and was fluid in updates. However since I think the release of SharedAR 3.5 (I have not updated my project, its using AR 3.3 and shared AR 3.4) the networking is unbelievably laggy and just unplayable really. Is this something you have seen yourself? Kinda tearing my hair out over this atm haha

Thanks a lot for your kind words :) I haven't created a multiplayer project using 3.5 yet, however if that is a lasting issue you might create a new thread in the Lightship forums ( community.lightship.dev/ ). Generally I think that the lightship multiplayer is working through the lightship proprietary servers, so if they might have an issue currently, it might affect anyone.

The problem I face is that the object is drifting, not steady as seen in your video. How to solve this problem? I have made sure 100% of my configuration is the same as yours. Hi mate, can you try to add multiple scans to that specific VPS? Often times one scan can cause problems because it lacks accuracy. Usually it needs about 5 scans in different lighting conditions.
