6 almost 7 years hunting here... I've found maybe a dozen or more seated dimes BUT NEVER A SEATED QUARTER OR BIGGER.... WHITE WHALE!!! CONGRATS. only 1, 1812 half reale. And only 2 trimes as well

@@Ufopirate17Q-so5pb nice! This years old coins were a 1785 half and 1782 one reale, this seated, two times, a bunch of Indian heads, and a few 2 cent coins. Hoping to get into some more historic properties this year.

@@ChrissyEis agreed I think it has something to do with the soil in this specific spot. I've had deep wheats jump to a high 50s but this was staying almost constant at a 55. Crazy.

Nice work. We usually detect the woods once our grassy area start freezing. The woods stay frost free longer. Especially where there's lots of leaf litter or pine needles.

@@MD-NWWI thanks. And agreed, we have a few spots in the woods but like to hold off on them until hunting season ends in February, usually about the time when our regular spots are frozen solid. Those damn pencil erasers were hiding a lot of great targets so I'm always compelled to dig those signals lol. Beaches have been tough I actually haven't been to the beach for a few months now. Summer is the slow time down here in Georgia too hot and dry winter is perfect here... Ground is wet and temps are in the 50s and 60s unless it's really cold then 40s

It is so far. Found my first seated dime this week cc mint but the obverse is slick so no date. Along with a couple of Mercury dimes and a Denver minted 1945 Philippine 20 cent silver. Been a while since I've found four silvers in a day.

@@bartcubbins3528 they both have their perks. The smaller lg24 is lightweight and gets similar depth but you lose ground coverage. I bounce between both a good amount but it's very site dependent.

Hey Chris, my legend is at version 1.13 does updating to ver.1.17 make much difference? I mainly beach detect would you suggest that I update to ver 1.17?

@@4High4Low hey 4H, I would say there are a handful of noteworthy improvements but I can't speak too much in regard to the beach. Id say if you're skeptical of these newer updates and doing fine on 1.13 just keep it as you have it. I used it at the beach once and will say it ran more stable than it usually does at this beach where I have issues with that. As for targets, that's depended on the day lol I only found a Pulltab in my one beach hunt on 1.17
