Can someone tell me from experience like what if i don't like it on me and one day just stop wearing any jewelry? Does it go away or like is it visible?
@bodyartforms14 сағат бұрын
@saravatsal3639 that will depend upon many factors, but a piercing can leave a scar.

Could i use any saline solution to clean my eyebrow piercing or is there a specific one I have to use
@bodyartforms14 сағат бұрын
@axelalcantara4147 you want one labelled a sterile saline wound wash. We personally carry NeilMed.

I had on of those backs on my earring when I changed it bc the front of the original earring fell off and was starting to pull through and once I changed it the back got embedded in the back of my ear I took it out myself and I’m fine now but I only have one of my ears piercings bc that one closed up
@bodyartforms2 күн бұрын
If your piercing has closed up completely, you can go to a professional piercer to get it re-pierced. Stay away from piercing guns. A professional piercer will be able to use the correct size jewelry so that you don't have problems with embedding.

What sort of salt do I use?
@bodyartforms3 күн бұрын
@cookie4u2 sea salt
@cookie4u22 күн бұрын
@ some places recommend non-iodised salt, would you suggest this?
@bodyartforms2 күн бұрын
yes, sea salt is non-iodized. You want to avoid iodized salt since the extra additives can irritate your piercing

Wait so q-tips are bad?
@bodyartforms5 күн бұрын
The threads in the q-tips can get stuck in the jewelry or piercing and that can delay healing. All you need to do is spray the saline solution and let it sit. Once your piercing heals, you can use q-tips to clean it.

ok so i’m getting my nose pierced in about a month- can u give me the quick 101? 😅 ty
@bodyartforms5 күн бұрын
First, hand off your piercing! Don't touch it at all. Don't sleep on it, don't snag it, don't bump it. Just leave it alone. You'll need to clean your piercing with a saline spray 2x/day. Don't change out the jewelry until it is completely healed. If you have any questions, ask your piercer!

how tf do u get the pushpin one cuz they put one in my conch and that thing was damn near impossible to get out. also what jewelry is used when it’s pierced
@bodyartforms5 күн бұрын
The jewelry used is usually a labret stud. However, the piercer might choose a threaded or threadless option (push pin). If it's a threadless labret (push pin stud), then you will pull the gem part out. If it's difficult to take it out, twist as you pull. If it's a threaded labret, you will need to unscrew the gem. Use gloves to help you get a better grip on the jewelry. If you can't remove it on your own, get someone to help you or go to a piercer to have it removed.

how would this help stretch it if it’s just a blunt edge, if it was tapered up then down but this is all the same size? I’m at a 8g septum and want a 6g how would I go about this
@bodyartforms5 күн бұрын
We have the titanium plugs in the video in 7g. The half size would help make the next stretch easier. You should only stretch up when your septum is ready. If it's ready, the plug should go in smoothly. You can also use a taper to help guide the plug in, but only if you're ready for the next stretch. If it hurts, then your septum isn't ready for the next stretch and you should wait longer. Stretching your septum safely requires a lot of time and patience. Don't rush it.
@MorsExpectatNosOmnes10 күн бұрын
so if I am at a 8g right now and get a 7g I can stretch it with this then go up to a 6g?

Erm which bead is rotatable?? I'm having a hard timr to remove my septum piercing 😢
@bodyartforms13 күн бұрын
@COOCHIEnera it depends on the style of jewelry, if it is a circular barbell then it is the two balls on each end of the barbell, and if it is a captive bead ring it is the one bead on the ring.

Does this hurt? And if I have a keloid bump next to the piercing on the inside, will this cause damage to the bump?
@bodyartforms13 күн бұрын
@@kayleepondexter8137 it should not hurt, however, if your nervous and the bump is sensitive going to see your piercer for assistance with removal would be a good idea

just got mine done-very helpful video!! quick question, in the shower does it matter which way I face or do I need to worry about soap/face wash running over the piercings??
@bodyartforms14 күн бұрын
@rachels9838 you can face which ever way is more comfortable for you. It would be really hard to avoid getting any soap on them regardless, so just make sure to rinse thoroughly before you get out, as well as clean them with saline spray afterwards.

@Kingandmalik wearing rubber or nitrile gloves to get a better grip on the jewelry always helps, and sliding in the new septum jewelry after taking out the old one gives you something to follow.

i have a friend that stretched with locks (stupid as hell btw) well it did exactly what she just said thinned the hell out of the bottom of the lobe so baddly that one day he was washing his face or hair in the shower and his finger caught his lobe and he some how snapped his stretched lobe on one side ! it bleed like fuckin crazy and looked aweful he had to eventually get them sown up.... dont over do it XD its not attractive i promise you me personally im not going to stretch my ears to the point if i dont like them one day illhave to sow them... no way
@madelyncoles944713 күн бұрын
There is no guarantee your ears will shrink back to a normal size, even if you stay under 8mm or 10mm (0g and 00g) which is what a lot of people call the "point of no return". They may look mostly normal when not wearing jewelry, but they won't be able to hold standard gauge earrings.
@cheesemongering10913 күн бұрын
@@madelyncoles9447 yea i had 0s when i was younger they pretty much shrunk all the way, im restarting and i had to stretch at a 10 guage XD. like they really really shrunk back up honestly double 0s is where i always said is the point of no return

acrylic really isn’t recommended to keep in due to it being porous, it can collect bacteria. I stretched with acrylic, but swapped it out with a titanium ring after a day. So it is safe to stretch with but not sanitary to keep in while its healing. Wish you happy stretching!

Hey guys so what just what worked for me now after struggling for a while and coming back to to report: Twist the jewelry as much as you can to loosen it. Then, move in a circular wiggling motion for a few seconds. Hold the flat piece firmly in ur nostril in a pulling downward or to the side position, & at the same time clamp a clean nail clipper on the top jewelry piece outside of your nose. Pull on the jewelry w/ the nail clipper in an upward motion and it literally came out the top. Then just pull the flat piece out of your nose from the inside your nostril. Hope that made sense and can help.

Omg this actually worked for me thank you sooo much I have been so scared and trying to get this out forever without totally ruining my jewelry
my only problem is that I don't have any jewelry and no money to get some because my parents wouldn't let me so I plan to just keep the tapers in for 3-4 weeks then go up 😭
