Lovely work! What do you mix your oil paint with? Linseed oil? I love the expressive thick strokes!

This way of painting impressionistic with heavy impasto is interesting and appealing however without the comments of the artist the whole thing is a waste of time

Which brand of paints do you use? Do you add a medium to get the creamy consistency? Beautiful!
@leahbeansart15 күн бұрын
thank you!! i just use winsor oil paints or whatever oil paint is cheapest at the store! and i just use them straight out of the tube, no mediums

@@leahbeansartyou paint very thick, do you use anything to speed up drying? If not, how long does it usually take for your work to dry?
@leahbeansart13 күн бұрын
@@prereflective don’t be scared of wasting paint!! i know it can be expensive but just get the cheapest oil paint you can and treat it like dirt!!! i know it’s hard to get out of that head space of wasting paint but it will only hurt your painting if you don’t just let yourself waste it!
@leahbeansart13 күн бұрын
@@h3m1cuda i don’t use anything to help the drying time. it will usually take 1-2 months for a painting like this to dry!

hello? Your outdoor landscape paintings are very attractive. I am very happy to have come across this video. I'm looking forward to the next video.

I've seen a MILLION paintings of the same kind of coastal scene, but your free handling of thick paint and unfussy brushwork made yours a painting worth looking at, that is very enjoyable to see. Congratulations. You are "your own" painter! Glop is good! Viva impasto!

I have a sienna also, if you extend the arm all the way back before you tighten the knobs it saves wear and tear on the pochade box and makes it more stable , I love your work.

You use a lot of paint that’s OK it’s a nice painting, but my as as another artist. If you would’ve left some of that under value on the rocks, it would’ve complemented nice with the blue tone of the water. Keep going man better more painting, not enough bravo!
