"Watching The Trees Grow" Oil Painting Process | Elmwood Park

Hiiiiiii! The reference for this painting is a photo I took during a run at Elmwood Park. I just loved the composition of the moment so much. I had a blast painting it. I decided to go pretty big with it and spent probably a week painting. I’ve been trying to use lots of paint on my paintings recently as well as being very intentional with my brushstrokes. Lovely work! What do you mix your oil paint with? Linseed oil? I love the expressive thick strokes!
