Actually Im not 100% sure. I havent personally been able migrate Synology photos between nas devices 🤔

Whilst I understand your frustration I came to hear about the DS923+ generally, I want to move up from DS420j and have BTRFS, fast snapshots, upgradable memory, expansion cab opportunity etc. and maybe put some SSDs in for cache only. I'm assuming other than the SSD not useable as a storage pool direct that everything is good?

Yes, you are correct. The DS923+ is a solid unit and having BTRFS is def. worth it 👍

@@DigitalJediDk I'm definitely not sorry I bought it, the confidence to throw away and restructure things knowing you have snapshots and can review over and over before reclaiming the space had been great. Got rid of about 1.7TB of old VMs and duplicates and it's been really great. Also got the synology-csi driver working with my home lab k8s cluster on iSCSI including snapshots with restores fully tested. I had been wishing I had bought bigger drives in the Amazon sale recently until managing to get down to 50% utilisation after all the change. Great unit I think and there's still 5 more slots I could add to it if I want. My usage is iSCSI and streaming media off it so still holding off on doing the week long analysis to see if SSD cache is worth it.

Loved that feature on the 2020 5 series BMW. Happy to see that Hyundai has it as well. Are you able to set an offset? I had it +5 so when proposing to slow to 80 it set it to 85 after recognizing the sign

The DS 923+ is a great unit and I would actually recommend it to many people. My disappointment is the relative conservative software, but for most people this will be a good thing.

I found that there was a User Agreement update that I ignored, which caused the network error. I went into BueLink on my car, agreed to the updated terms, and now the connection has been reestablished with my car.

Hello! Is it possible to a) disable/enable individual keys' lighting on this keyboard? And b) set individual colors per key? All vendors are so ridiculously not clear about that. I just want to have WASD and 1 to 5 lighted solid with no further effects for better finding these in the dark and this on a wireless 100% keyboard.

Neither using the 'usevia' website nor using the offline tool not using this open source tool I could configure the lights like I wanted. They all can just swicth between the pre-configured (and sadly useless) RGB profiles. Could you show how it's done?

I had problem about my synology nas And Steve Baker Technical Support Engineer write me about my problem that We are sorry to hear that your DS218 has to be reset. This is likely caused by an issue in the DSM operating-system. We understand that you are worried about losing your data. Please rest assured, your data should not be affected by the reset as the OS and data are stored in separate partitions on the drives. When re-installing the OS, the system should normally not touch the data-partitions of your drives. I beleived and i did what he said now all my data erased omg i shocked after sir Steve Baker dissepeared i am alone there is nothing in my hands Synology is regret bad nas choose qnap there isnt good support for problemss !!! Synology is big regret

I got the 923+ just recently and didn't experience the problems this guy mentions. Some videos are likely sponsored by competitors and never disclosed. I personally love my 923+ and would definitely buy another Synology NAS.

I've had this phone for a few months now and it's constantly overheating. Part of my job is taking pictures of vacant homes and I'm constantly waiting for the phone to cool down so i can use the camera again. Flagship hardware sure, but unfortunately it's all throttled back due to overheating.

for buying two of those panels you can just buy a whole new case (h710 flow) and you can just sell the old one and make some of that money back so its even cheaper

I don't see lots of other offerings with ECC ram at this price point. Last time I bought a readynas and got burned as netgear has now abandonned that segment completely so this time I went with Synology as I see them as having staying power.

This trouble is commun on all hyundai, bluelink need a big upgrade. The app is better than before but its still need much improvement and correction, just a cheap example, open one (or all) windows and check the information on bluelink, it will said all closed...

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but I think the standard version of the K5 Pro (at least the one with white backlight) doesn't come with backlit keys, and they're kind of a pain to get because they're always out of stock.

Hi, Just a couple of questions on this subject: You mentioned that this was a migration from a DS215J to a newer DS, but fact is that the Synology assistant showed something different that was migrateable : a DS718+... That is a totally different NAS. Second: is this method usable for SHR (Synology Hybrid Raid), which I think most people actually use? Third: I am planning to first upgrade my DS214 Play from DSM 6.2 to DSM 7.11 in 3 steps, and than move them to the new DS224+. Looking forward to your reply! Cheers.

Thank you for your question 👍 Yes I was upgrading from the 215 to the 718+ the process however is the same. Im pretty sure you cannot upgrade your 214 to DSM 7.11 but you should be able to just move your hard drives to the new nas and it should detect and upgrade the file system for you automatically.

You made a 10 minute video because the NEW for 923+ Feature of using M.2 NVME drives as another drive “pool” only works with the Synology 400gb or 800gb drives. I think it sucks the capacity is so low on those when an M.2 used for cache can be 4TB. I think you protest too much, all things considered, i was thinking of making one M.2 drive a large SSD cache, and the other to serve as an SSD shared drive pool which is an awesome feature. I wonder whah the 24+ models will offer?

I'm coming from an MX keys full size, its starting to not work properly (bought it back in 2020). I bought a Logitech G915 because I wanted to stay in the Logitech family, but honestly it was a teeeeerrible experience, the keys felt like they were wearing stilts, very wobbly, the whole layout was slowing me down (I work in finance, so I'm an excel power user). I returned it and just a couple of minutes ago pulled the trigger on the K5 Pro. Thanks for your quick review, the fact that you also have the MX keys and still prefer the K5 Pro was decisive for me. We'll see how it goes.

@@maorberenstein2540 Sorry friend, it has been quite a busy week, yeah, I got the K5 Pro, its working great so far. Couple of notes though, out of the box is veeeeery clacky and since the logitech was super silent I decided to mod it, bought Womier low profile keycap, because the stock ones from keychron seemed a bit cheap, and bought the Cowberry switches from Nuphy, and so far the experience has been awesome, the keyboard sounds way more thocky than it initially did, but I am going to open it and stick some EVA foam inside, at the bottom of the case to see if it further dampens the sound, I say I'm 70% there in terms of the sound that I want out of it. In the overall experience I must say its a 10/10, leaps and bounds better than any traditional keyboard I've owned (Logitech, Razer, HP, etc.). The fact that you can re-program ALL keys to do whatever you want and record macros in them, has been an absolute joy to have, honestly all keyboards should have this feature, I feel like mechanical keyboards just open a new world of possibilities as oposed to the restrictiveness of name brands such as Logitech, in both software and hardware user experience.

Thanks for the video sir, I'm contemplating between Logitech MX keys S and Keychron k5 pro, which one is quieter for you and have better typing? keychron looks good, but I'm worried if my finger kind of stuck every time I type as keys are floating

Thanks for your comment 🙌 I am not very happy with the quality that the mx keys has. It feels cheap compared to the keychron. The keychron makes me wanna type more 😅 however you need to decide weather you want low profile keys (like mine in this video) or the regular mechanical keys
