Bro. I'm very interested in a golfer's downswing. I know it sounds weird. But I've really gained a lot of good information. Can you go through your downswing? With your driver.
@mistahshorthitter18 минут бұрын
@UncleBuck560 It doesn't sound weird. But, if you already gained a lot of information, I'm unsure what value I could add.

Being a short hitter does have its benefits, keeps me out of the trouble as well. 210 to 220 off the tee and you can still play some good golf. 8 handicap is not bad for Being a short hitter

I have taken my driver out of the bag and added a 7 wood. This has been a game changer this week so far I quit worrying about distance and more so just being in fairway and it seems to have helped with the confidence of my irons as well. Ping 430 7 wood is phenomenal average distance is 211 with best shot at 238 yds.

SUCH good timing on releasing this video. I broke 40 for the first time today in probably 20 years - including about 10 or 15 years of not playing. Still, shot 38 which is fantastic for this 70 year old 17 handicapper! I'd seen another of your golf strategy videos along w/ another KZbinr on the same topic, and your strategy thoughts definitely helped me. I enjoy watching your videos - thanks for the great content!

The comment about playing the forward tees is also a good one. I have been lucky enough to play Chambers Bay twice in my lifetime. It is a tough course, made harder, because it is a long hilly course and walking only! The second time I played it, I was paired up with three friends. They wanted to play from the tips. I told them I was just going to play from the "Old Man White Tees". They laughed at me. They spent the afternoon climbing hills and searching for balls, because they were pushing themselves to hit longer shots. I shot a 91. Not spectacular, but I was very happy with it. I had an enjoyable afternoon. They were frustrated. Moral of the story... We duffers are not playing the game to win championships. We should enjoy ourselves. Push to do the best we can, but do not make the game so frustrating that you do not enjoy it.

AWESOME tips... for any age player. I especially agree with the woods/hybrids idea. I have always had a tough time hitting my long irons. About 25 years ago, I bought a new driver, 3-wood, and 5-wood. They were the same brand. (I think it was a Pro Golf Discount knockoff set.) I loved them. I hit them consistently. The next time I was at the store, I noticed they had a matching 7-wood. I bought it. It is one of the best golf purchases in my lifetime.
