As a slovakian living abroad I can tell you that all those money you gave them, they will use to buy drugs such as toluen to sniff, alcohol and smokes. This what you've experienced is basically also what government and Europe is doing. As long as they pay them free money and are not expected to work, they will not cause much trouble and breed and do drugs and have kids to do whatever they want and make money for themselves by stealing and begging. Unfortunately the only ones that were able to tame them were soviets, that required them to work for salary and basically have the same responsibility as everyone else. But since then slovaks , government and Europe just can't deal with the problems so they throw money and them and pray that they will be satisfied. Also politicians takes juicy European money for various projects and steal 95% of it. Slovakia is just worth to visit for beautiful nature, outside of that its a sh!thole , with most decent people fleeing away.

These shacks/ houses were built for people to rent or buy for the summer for people from London back in the 50s and 60s jaywick has a really lovely beach it's been run down for years as no house building so they chuck all the drugies and drink there to live because the council don't care and the landlords can rent out absolutely disgusting shacks not fit for people and get top rent paid to them also when Butlins closed down it was the death of the place
