They are actually ice dwelling! So they live on the ice and access the water through holes in the ice. Don't quote me but I think the access areas are typically close to shores.

Rob and I are loyal watchers of the mystery of oak island, I believe the,leas cross dated 1300 to 1400’s is their biggest find dated back to the Knights Templars. Who knows maybe the Holy Grail is in Nova Scotia….Ball was a cabbage farmer on his plot in Oak Island….so, no way a cabbage farmer could become so rich, right?
