I have a friend you claimed back in 2015 she is bed bound till this day she has not received her pay out. As much as we understand the issues raised by RAF however they need to hire people who have are there for the people and they must initiate a system that will monitor files and send alert once a period has lapsed if a file still on the system and has not been unattended too. Because it can not be for almost 10 years someone who is a mother and who lost source of income has not been paid…. It is not fair to such families and the CEO must look into it, bcs if they don’t fix their house ppl will still go to lawyers….. which defeats the purpose of what the claim to be fighting. RAF must do right by our ppl, that’s all we asking for.

My nephew was a little boy wheh he was hit by a car in a near death experience in Katlehong. My sister initiated the claim on his behalf with the help of the attorney but early in the process she got information that she doesn't need a lawyer as lawyers are corrupt and exploit the clients. She terminated the services of the lawyer and all hell broke loose. The process took over 5 years to partially finalise. The boy is turning 18 next year and RAF said he is fine and doesn't deserve and financial claim. That's according to a doctors report. But the boy had head injuries that caused his head to swell and it was like he was loosing his mind. Till date he is suffering severe headaches and memory loss. His broken upper limb had to be joined with some metal plate which has been giving him problems with pains especially when he play with other kids such as soccer and other physical sports. The doctors report says the finality will be determined by what happens with the metal in his leg but nothing to that effect to help with medical needs and not much wa mentioned about his head injuries except that it is there on the report but no xrays to that effect. Now the Road Accident Fund wants to get rid of lawyers yet when patients are on their own they are exploited by the very RAF system. The boy is still suffering.
