You don't explain for beginner , you are way to quick. I went 3 rows and give up. I made 4 shawls with an other channel last month.

I don't consider this a beginners project. This is definitely a more advanced granny square. Without a written pattern, this would be difficult for a beginner to follow causing frustration. Crocheters like written patterns!

At 07:10 you explain how to end a row with a chain 5, but you began this row with chain 5, shoudn't you finish it with chain 3?

There are several corners of this pattern where your instruction is not clear and you simply keep crocheting, without SHOWING exactly what you are doing - which is not helpful for beginners. I have amended your pattern in Round 6: largely because your video moved too quickly and did not show the steps well. I *think* you were instructing us to place a DC (double crochet) in each stitch and then a DC in each space. However trying to place DC into each stitch was very challenging and the net effect was not much different to placing 2 DC in each space with 1 x chain between each. Otherwise crocheting up in a white yarn was very helpful. The finished square is very lacy and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

I tried this to avoid the slanted edge. Seems to work. When finishing the row of slip stitches, chain one only as turning chain. Make the spl hdc starting from the chain one space before the first hdc of the previous row. Continue the spl hdc through the end. If the other end is also slanting, try making a sc in the last chain or stitch at the end of the row. This may reduce the hole also.

I’m sure I echo many other comments, but I feel compelled to join in their appreciation; This tutorial and your teaching style in general is brilliant. You possess an exceptional ability to clearly articulate HOW to perform a skill and WHY we should do it that way. It is and invaluable skill to be able to take a student along your same thought path and solve problems before they arise. Fantastic work!! 💖💖

If anyone has made this, I would appreciate feedback on what yarn you used, because more than 200m of bulky wool would be brutally expensive for me where I live. I would imagine any sort of synthetic (blend) would be horrible for this though.
