Youre not clear in your explanation. You must have speakers connected to the Focusrite. When you explain something, tell it from beginning till end...in details! But Thanks anyway :)

0:14 Keep in mind that adding an audio track (while a great thing) might conflict with #9 (05:22) of using repeat signs. For example, if the audio track was recorded from a live performance, not recorded with a click track, the musician will most likely have slight variations in the tempo of their playing when repeating sections of the song. This means the notes in that repeated section can be synced perfectly the first time through, but on subsequent repeats the score and the audio track will almost certainly get out of sync. For this reason, I often remove the repeat symbols and write the score out to its full length without repeating within the score. Yes, this makes the overall length of the score longer, but it's the only way to assure the score stays in sync with the audio track for the full duration of the song. Until I figured this out, it was driving me crazy. I'd often sync the first time through a repeated section, but it would be out of sync of the second (or third) time through the repeat. If I'd then sync the second time through, I would "break" the synchronization that I had done on the first time through that section. I finally figured out I could not use repeated sections in the score unless the audio track was played by the musician at a perfectly matched tempo on each pass of any repeated section. Again, the solution was to live with a "longer score" and simply not repeat any sections within the score... write out the score as one continuous event, just like the audio track is one continuous event. You're welcome. 😋

Can I write music on an iPad using Guitar pro for IOS or just play music (In simple terms, can I compose music with an iPad using guitar pro 8)?

Hi, you can't edit tabs in the mobile app yet, you can only use the NotePad to write some ideas down. But it's a feature we'd like to add in the future. Thanks.

@@dane6689 The desktop version is far from perfect but it's too big of an app to be ported to a mobile version. I'd just like to see a decent player so I don't need to keep using my laptop to play the files, how I want to.

Suggestion : In next update can you add a function via which rhythm proportion affects while in multitrack view as well . Currently Rhythm proportion option only works when you are viewing a single track. In multi track view it stops working.

When zooming in on audio track it doesn't remain zoomed... this makes it near impossible to to align the sync points to the track.

It's important to note that if an audio track is not perfectly consistent during repeated sections, such as verses or choruses, or if it includes a "go to coda" in the score, syncing the score with the audio throughout will be unfeasible. This is because a performer may vary the timing slightly on repeated song sections. Therefore, even if the first verse is perfectly synced, subsequent repetitions may fall out of sync. A workaround is to create a new GP8 file without any repeats or "go to coda" sections in the score. The song should be written out completely from start to finish in an uninterrupted score. This approach may extend a 3-page score to 6 or 7 pages due to the absence of repeats. However, this method ensures that once completed, the score remains in sync throughout the performance, regardless of repeated sections. As of June 2024, GP8 does not offer the feature to mark audio sections according to the number of times they are played in the score. It would be beneficial if future updates included this feature. Until then, for songs with timing variations in repeated sections, the score must be laid out in a single, continuous sequence without repeats. You are welcome. 😋

I used Guitar Pro 7 and now 8. I absolutely love this program. It has made analyzing, transcribing, and even transposing pieces so much easier. There is definitely a learning curve. That's not a criticism of Guitar Pro, either. The application is so robust, and has so many features that you can do just about anything. Any time you have that much control at your fingertips there will be a learning curve. That is far better than having no real options or control.

If I have 2 tracks, say Guitar & Bass. The Guitar starts at Bar 1 & the Bass at Bar 4. How do I show on the Bass track, the first 3 bars as 1 bar like this |---3---| ? I have seen this in tablature books & on websites. Is it possible in Guitar Pro 8?
