Saving the top of the head and it's aluminum so it probably warped That's what happened when you don't pay attention to your temperature gauge it gets hot overheats and warps the head and the block they're both aluminum

That’s not the wear indicator. It’s a holding clip for the font pad that holds it against the caliper! Helps keep it securely in place and allows no brake chatter too! So they say! 🙏🏼🫶🏼
