One thing to consider when purchasing prescription meds from Amazon Pharmacy (or any pharmacy) WITHOUT using prescription insurance is that you are not affecting your deductible or copay amounts.l which can affect you during your benefit year. Of course any $ you pay (whether insurance is or isn’t used) can be reimbursed to be federal tax free by using a Flexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account.

Great point- if an individual expects to hit their deductible paying cash might not always be the best option. One loophole- if an health plan allows for out of network reimbursements, members can submit their cash claim to the PBM for a typical 50% reimbursement. (I’ve done this for a few scripts) For maintenance medications, this may be limited to 3 fills, depending on if the plan has a mandatory retail 90 or mail order component.

How can I go about reducing my monthly contribution if I set it to high? I set it at the max amt of $5k for the year but after running the numbers the annual DC amt for this year will hit between $3k-$4k. I had to set my contribution in Sept and some of the camps my child was going to attend, he is no longer going to attend this year.

Sorry to hear that. If you get your insurance from work, ask them to set-up a weight loss HRA, that allows you to get the discount card and have your employer take advantage of the lower cash cost compared to insurance. With the weight loss HRA, your employer can pay for half of your costs, for example, which would cut your costs down to $200/month.

This stumped me too. I reached out to Amazon Pharmacy and got the following message “ If your account is eligible for PillPacks, it would give you the option to sign up. There may be a medication that is not eligible for the Pillpacks and that is why you are not able to sign up.”

So I just transferred over to Amazon pharmacy as of today it was quick it was easy they had my insurance already I didn't have to type it in the only reason why I switched over is because I wanted my meds delivered

NJ will send the funds on a debit card. It took me about a month to get the funds from the state after I submitted my application.

I am looking at this now and what I am confused by is the start date. I am in the same situation you are in that I am trying to start an application before my child is actually born. But, what do I do if the child does not come on their due date? That little pop up you received said you cannot change the start date after you moved past that screen. So, what do you do if the baby comes lets say 2 days earlier?

Agree that this is the confusing part of the application. For me, I put my son’s expected birth date in. When I finished the application, I received a message from the state website that I needed to go back in within 7 days of his actual birth to put the actual birthdate in the system prior to benefits starting. I did this once he came to get the benefit payment from the state.

I saw them clear as day hovering and bouncing back and forth up and down in Slidell Louisiana. There are several here, Arkansas Alabama and Mississippi! A lot military flew over my house towards them. They disappeared when they were close enough. This is really troubling! The government needs to step up and tell the truth! Sounds a little batty, I don't know if we should get married... After battling cancer and having to claim chapter 7 bankruptcy (well choosing to go this route) my ambitions for tying the knot or ball and chain of bankruptcy debt have faded I will be 5 years in feb 24, since i won my claim/ request. Not only is that a huge concern , but if I were to get sick again. Can't bleed the stone over and over. He is a homeowner he doesn't want me working but I work because in this economy. I feel selfish not to help and my world just feels purposeless when I do not have a steady wage and a stable position in life. I truly don't know the first thing about how getting married may change his health insurance or mine. He is very aware of all these decisions as we've been together for longer than I've been in debt. We were very new in our relationship when I got sick and never wanted him to have to assume any of the responsibility for medical debt that I accrue. But I'm 40, he a little older than I. We want s family. I just dont want him to work to the bone to take care of us. Esp if i get sick.
