well, it is! cdm.link/2024/07/inside-cristian-vogel-nel-shiftermesh/ actually vst only, so what did you mean?
@Beatsbasteln10 күн бұрын
what did i just watch? it looks like you made the feverdream of a topdown strategy game as a vst plugin and the parameters all make decisions on their own. i tell you if i was on LSD right now I would literally believe that I'm just seeing that because i'm high (this is a compliment btw)

People are freaking out. It's just a sonogram with both axis flipped. The trick is to vectorise the sound - it needs to be extracted from the noise and other sounds, and then it's shaped in this f/t 2D plane, only to be reconverted to audio. IRCAM's Max was the first to have such a feature, 30 years ago. So it's IT a sampler, except it has some vectorised control dimensions in sonogram space. It's not resynthezing the audio using either additive, subtractive, or modal techniques. Max also offered paint tools so you could manually tweak portions of the 'blobs' you were interested in.

Lovely, Peter! As a big fan of Physical Modeling, I’m excited to see this coming to iOS. Physical Modeling seems to be one of those areas where the Baby Modeling approach to simplifying the UI into just a handful of controls really has a chance to shine, similar to Mutable’s Rings (or RingZ IAP in Tera Pro) in that way. Nice to see you building your KZbin up, subbed!

D16 is garbage. Nepheton, their 808 plugin, hasn't been compatible with Mac since Big Sur, which came out 3 years ago. If anyone knows a great 808 VST let me know.
@p-kirn8 ай бұрын
Nepheton should be next in line for v2 treatment. (All the silverline plugins, PunchBox, and now v2 of their 303 + 909 have been updated) For now I've been using Roland Cloud's TR-808, which is solid, but I'm really glad to see Nepheton v2. I mean, they're a small, independent shop, I'll give them a little credit.

This is probably a stupid comment but I want mine to have a dark background like this but I can't figure out how
@joschka4207 ай бұрын
got you....go to 'Settings` at the top left and then to the very last option named 'Presets', a window opens, you should be at the option 'Look/Feel'. After that theres a option at the last third of the frame where it says 'color scheme', set it to dark. thats it :)

synplant2 is so cool you don't even have to make music with it. it's enough to just record yourself genopatching a sound and dial in atonality :)

It's super cool, but I think I can get these sounds with other instruments if I put the time in..
@Baegus9 ай бұрын
Of course you could, it's basically just a 2-operator FM synth, but that's not the point.
@straighttalk20698 ай бұрын
@@Baegus The point is sort of nonsensical, especially the genome, I mean why ask AI to clone a sound that you already have when you know it can only get close 50% of the time. The UI is fun with all of it's randomness but the mediocre two oscillator synth engine (which is what really matters) is no way good enough. This is nothing more than an overpriced toy until they update the engine to a Three wavetable oscillator engine combined with an eight operator FM engine that includes multiple LFO's, envelopes and a massive mod matrix.
