Its not rocket science,anyone can play like this. All you need to do is sit and watch enough youtube videos 🤡

Pete Samrpas's forehand would disagree with you on finishing over the left shoulder
@leebrandt859718 сағат бұрын
thought it looks like only slightly different, it made a big difference on the other end of the court, as the shot was flatter, therefore it skidded off the court rather than bounce high. This gave opponents less reaction time, less opportunity to "reset" the point.

Good info but it is style and grip dependent how the swing path is so I don't get why people generalize like everyone uses the same grip. Modern technique with the full western grip everyone uses now is a different thing than an old school eastern grip etc.

I've never heard anyone talk about getting your body below the ball, but in my minds eye I can see pro tennis players almost "sitting down" as part of the preparation/coiling to hit a groundstroke. I am going to go out and focus on getting my body down to the ball the next time I play. Thank you for this video. I appreciate the steady pace of the delivery - nothing rushed, no overload of content in any one video.

This is for a powerful flat shot ? Topspin is more low to high hitting the ball up to create more heavy topspin!

Thanks man, I needed that today.
@emin75403 күн бұрын
Wrong! Topspin is generated from the low to high motion but the follow through is forward feeling the ball on the strings especially at the baseline where depth is needed against your opponent.

The wrist is releasing. I think that’s good information if you want to teach a forehand from scratch
@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegeten5 күн бұрын
If you want to teach a forehand from scratch the wrist is not very relevant until they at least have the basics down, like a unit turn, backswing and contacting out in front which is something that most players do not do until they reach a 4.0 level.

My non dominant arm blocks the track of ball , what am i doing wrong
@schenckmark66997 күн бұрын
I'm not seeing it. Practically every slow motion shot shows how the pros are not following through the ball, opposite of what you claim. As soon as the ball leaves the strings, the racket is going above and around to the left. Watch how many players keep their arm bent through the shot. Core rotation, but not arm straightening.

Calling it the wrap is wrong . They are hitting up on the ball . They are not turning the strings over correct . But they are most definitely swinging up on the ball and it is essential to control a shot . The more you hit up the more spin the more you hit forward the more speed . Not all shots focus so much on hitting flat . Any angled shot needs an aggressive upward momentum towards the end of the swing .
@Matthew98187 күн бұрын
or is hit with sidespin/topspin hybrid .
@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegeten4 күн бұрын
Yeah most of that spin comes from shoulder rotation, not "hitting up". The arm does move up slightly after contact but most of the racquet movement in the upward direction is coming from the shoulder rotating which moves the racquet from below the ball to above it. What you're saying does work and pro's utilize this to hit maximum spin by combining this and shoulder rotation. But if this is your main mechanism for spin on normal strokes you will never come close to having the combination of spin and speed that pro's have. This is because rotating the shoulder to create spin will allow you to maintain that same horizontal speed while also adding a vertical one.

Great one handed BH points. Side Note - radius is the distance from the middle of a circle to its outer edge not the distance around the circle. That's the circumference.
@kkarx8 күн бұрын
People are not machines to be able to hit the sweet spot every single time. It also completely ommits the fact that rackets nowadays often have sweet spot shifted closer to the tip of the racket.

From tenniswarehouse university it says there's a few sweet spots, the best power potential is just about the middle. I break my strings in the center but above the geometric center of the stringbed.
