A song can not emerge in any time but its own. The time it helps create. A tune maintains its unique place in eternity, just as the specific time contains the tune. Allowing the past to sketch the outlines of the future. -R.H.

I’m 70 years old now. I’m from South Philly, grew up in the shadow of the Spectrum, saw the Dead and JGB over 35 times. Was at this show, it’s in a suburb just outside Philly. I cried listening to this. I lost 2 close friends to cancer just in the last 8 months. This time in The Days Between probably has me hypersensitive

Thank you, Robert, for all the joy, tears, laughter and other forms of magic you shared with us. And thank you for sharing some time with me at that picnic table years ago in Oregon. We had a good talk, and though I was in awe of your genius, you struck me as one of the most grounded humans I've ever met. 💖

Kind of cool he played this on my almost birthday of my favorite year, but I had no idea who he was at that time. If I knew about the Grateful Dead sooner I definitely would have gone to see him

The duo of Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia took my mind as well as my soul to places that nobody else could ever had. Beyond music, closer than intimate, life altering experiences that showed me a different side of my own being. Thank you both.

What a beautifully crafted and fitting induction/intro speech. Hunter, I started to say was brilliant, but where his words will live forever you have to say IS brilliant. Since 1973 his words have been bouncing around in my head everyday. Thank God Robert met Jerry ...
