nice video, I still have my chilipad since February 2020. Eight sleep is just TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. They should think implementing a cheaper version, like the Apple Watch SE, like a mini version for like 1000-1500$
@BrandonTalbotКүн бұрын
Yeah I’d love that but unfortunately I don’t think that’s gonna happen. They don’t really see a need for it yet. Glad to hear your chilipad is going strong!!!

Really wish cool products weren't designed in expensive cities like NY and LA... Cost of living is regional. $2-4k might be reasonable in a place where everything is inflated to the point 1bed/1bed apartment will run you up $2-4k and six-figure salaries are relatively common. In the Midwest, this is an astronomical expense for a family of 3+. People struggle to afford a $10k used vehicle here. Separately I could never support a company that arbitrarily retracts its value proposition to a customer, removing locally ran software features should be illegal. I love the concept but 8 Sleep they have too many anti-consumer practices to give them support... even at the cost of worse sleep. Regardless, another great video!

I've been baffled that there aren't more competitors to this. This seems like such an open market for other companies to enter. Tons of people would probably want one of these if it was cheaper (although I think ~3k to improve 1/3 of your life is a good deal). The only two times I've tried autopilot I woke up sweating, which turned me off from ever trying it again. Maybe the algorithm has improved but it always makes it wayyy too hot. Especially in the summer I feel like it's not accounting for the fact my room can't even get below 75F. I need it to be ice cube mode. Our metrics seem mostly similar except my HRV range is 118-144 and can get close to 160. It averaged 67 when I got the Pod back in December and I think most of what I've done is improve my diet and drink alcohol wayyy less. I won't touch it for multiple weeks now. Not eating much after 4-5 PM also helps a lot for me and I average 15k steps a day. I know all of this is unsolicited but maybe it can help if you want to improve HRV!
@BrandonTalbotКүн бұрын
Autopilot should only make interventions within the sleep schedule parameters you give it, so it might have been that the sleep schedule you made allowed it to go to high? I’m not sure. Alcohol is from what I seen the single most significant effecter of HRV

data storage on 8sleep is bs. mattresses and the cooling system alone are expensive enough. you wouldnt need to store the persons history forever and the smart app features could just be build into the device and have its own storage. its literally just trying to take advantage of people who are already paying a premium for a product anyway because thats the world we live in. hope people subscribe and forget to unsubscribe.... and even if they do unsubscribe well they are still locked in for those months. its BS

Brandon, for the snoring mitigation feature of the Pod 4 Ultra, does each side adjust tilt independently? Or do both sides get adjusted when one side detects snoring?
@BrandonTalbot11 күн бұрын
Unfortunately no. Both sides move together That’s a limitation of most adjustable bed frames,and because the cover isn’t split into two sections.
@Matt-jv3mk11 күн бұрын
@@BrandonTalbot Thanks. I kind of figured that out right after I submitted the comment by thinking to myself, "Wait. Independent tilt would require a split mattress." But, ya, I think the snoring mitigation feature, even if it's effective, would annoy a partner sleeping next to you.

In the KZbin video "The REAL Reason You Should Buy An Apple Watch Ultra," the creator shares his personal experience of completing a road trip without his phone and condensing the footage into a three-minute video. He emphasizes that the Apple Watch Ultra's true power lies beyond its specs and discusses how it helped a 41-year-old man manage his addiction to social media by offering necessary connections while eliminating distractions. The watch's impressive features, such as cellular service, credit card storage, and robust health tracking, make it a game-changer for the man's daily life. The speaker also shares their own experience with battery anxiety using a regular Apple Watch and how the Apple Watch Ultra provides a sense of freedom by allowing them to leave their phone at home, although it may not be suitable for ultra endurance athletes. Despite some minor quirks, the speaker highly recommends the Apple Watch Ultra for those who can afford it for the feeling of disconnection while still receiving important metrics.
