1) How do you know when a pup has established roots without digging it out? 2) When I buy Banana plants at the nursery it appears like the lopped off all the roots from the Bulb. When I plant them, they grow fine.. what’s the difference?

I have that same incubator. I put a small thermometer in each corner. All 4 corners have different temperatures. Its an awful incubator. I only use it after rhey hatch It has good headroom for ducks, but is not a reliable source for incubators.

HELP NEEDED!!! Any help greatly appreciated- we have just rescued 10 duck eggs they appear to be around the 2 week mark at a guess- we have always had wild ducks living on our larger size pond (not quite a lake but bigger than a normal pond) since moving to our house in 1993 however this year the water level has been so so much higher than normal the ducks are struggling to find safe places to lay eggs- a new female had laid eggs in a very unsafe place atop tiled steps in a big heavy (immovable as it turns out) planter with high sides than would either just trap them after birth or if they got to the edge and tried to jump off onto the tiles even if it was onto the top they’d never survive the height drop- we tried everything we could think of makeshift ramps just couldn’t get them secure and into a position it’d b safe and now the mother appears to have got spooked and we haven’t seen her since yesterday morning well we didn’t want to give up on them and in have brought them inside my house overnight nearby a radiator and wrapped in a warm big furry fleece jumper - ice googled for some info and now really worried I should have left them outside alone (was very cold last night) also just read they won’t likely survive without an incubator- am I too late- any help and advice at all - Thank You 🙏

Very clever, thanks for the video! I'm putting one of these on a flat roof to let some squash go wild up there, out of the way. My barrel had german ginger ale concentrate in it, smells delicious. :)

I think you may have overloaded your incubator. It must have taken quite a while to turn all those eggs, with your lid open for so long. I'm currently hand turning a batch of 15 eggs (for some reason my turning mechanism isn't working) and I mist them every time I'm done. Hopefully that will solve the problem. The very best way I've found to hatch duck eggs--- put them under a broody hen, preferably an Araucana. Silkies are good too, but duck eggs are a little big for them to turn. So sorry you had a bad hatch. It's almost impossible not to get attached to the little boogers, even still in the egg. 💔

Also, I agree with your other commenter if you do not open incubator during lockdown, your success rate will go up. You need to leave them in there and they will dry and have a better chance as well.

All bird eggs, pip at the round end just to let you know some people may think it is different for chickens, ducks, turkeys, but not they all do the same

Please change the recipe description of the video! I’m so annoyed to follow this recipe as just wasted a load of product! Don’t mix citric acid and baking soda guys! It will fizz, release water molecules and neutralise the benefits of each other. Use citric acid as a rinse aid with 20% solution concentration. (100g water and 20g citric acid). The rest of the recipe is ok. I got left with a kilogram of a white powder that sticks together and clump up good for nothing!

Don't mark eggs with ink. That can hurt them. It's the same as you eating the ink

Citric acid is the basis of cancer. It is introduced to the body as black mold, turns to candida...then to cancer. Many believe it comes from limes / lemons. The truth is citric acid is genetically modified black mold and a poison

Do you think it’s necessary to use the salt? I used a similar recipe and the salt left a white residue on the dishes, even though I used vinegar as a rinse agent. What are your thoughts?

Too funny we just butchered our 12 royal palms today and this popped up on my wall. We also hand pluck our birds to keep the skin in presentable shape. Pluckers do to much damage and lower the price of our birds.

Something I’ve noticed about the light on the phone. It’s not bright enough to candle properly, and it actually generates a whole bunch of heat in that tiny spot. Put your finger right on the light while it’s on and hold it there for half a minute, and you’ll see what I mean. I don’t know if it’s enough to do anything, but a cheap, handheld LED flashlight I’ve noticed lets you see much better and doesn’t heat up as much. Also, I open my incubator every other day, sometimes daily. Just to candle them and see how they’re doing😝 If they start developing, they typically always hatch. I can’t remember a single time I’ve had a chick or duckling developing in the egg, then not hatch. Loved the video!

Another liberal that don't want to show the actual killing of a turkey everyone needs to stop being feelings people start being people that don't give a crap about offending people because if you going to do this you need to do it right and that means show people what the whole process is all about if you I actually stopped watching the video when you use the word dispatch you said you were not going to show the actual dispatching of the turkeys call it what it is you want to show because you are afraid people might get offended which day do you need to because they need to see where their food comes from is actual living breed and them and how the animal dies to make their Thanksgiving meal I think you should remove the video and do another this was not done right that's the reason why I gave it a thumbs-down I'm politically incorrect I don't care who's fucking feelings are hurt I don't care who I offend people need to see the actual whole process I mean when you were raised on a farm seeing turkeys and chickens and all that got killed they didn't give a rat's ass if you are five-years-old or if you were 20 years old or 100 years old you got to see the whole process we need to get away from this politically incorrect bullshit dude we don't want to offend nobody or did if you're squeamish or whatever if you going to want to raise your own animals to eat you need to see the whole process from beginning to end with no editing because you're afraid of offending somebody and if you're that afraid of offending somebody you just need to take your channel down altogether
