Question! When transplanting a banana pup, do you prune the top off? If so how low do you go? I topped mine off since the leaves die out anyway, and it looks like the top is hard and dry, making it difficult for the new leaf to come out.

1) How do you know when a pup has established roots without digging it out? 2) When I buy Banana plants at the nursery it appears like the lopped off all the roots from the Bulb. When I plant them, they grow fine.. what’s the difference?

if the plant is at least a foot tall it has enough roots to survive, only problem i’ve had is they rot after i relocate mine💔
