Kind of curious what kind of check engine light code were you getting I have a check engine light It runs fine no issues but the vacuum line that goes to the upper blower and connects to the PVC it's cracked I was going to replace it but it looks like another hose goes towards the back which it looks like the one that you plugged up was curious if you have the same code as I do

Like I said before ladies & gentlemen riders or not , we need to learn from other cultures. Japanese motorcycles look a lot the same in all aspects & features. The Challenger is the Cadillac & Rolls Royce of Bikes. Besides it's way faster, lighter & easier to handle. In addition competition keeps Harley on check...

Unfortunately a review from a Harley owner lmao😂😂 how about the facts and truths. As someone who is technician in the industry and for multiple brands including indian,Harley, Suzuki,Can-Am, Kawasaki to name some with over 22+ years of experience. Indian is far better in almost every aspect except dealer network. Harley has to have a dealer within an hour of each considering how frequently they break down with major failures not minor. I have had a lot of the road glide st and street glide st come in with less than 1k clocked and they are blown up. Yes Indian has a fit and finish problem as well as a few other minor things but as far as reliability and engine, well let's say I have yet to tare down an Indian power plus motor or thunderstroke 111, I honestly can't count the number of m8 I've had to tare down and rebuild. Only thing Harley is great at is clothing,boots,sunglasses and accessories lol. But honestly if you want a maintenance free ride get a Honda. See so many of them come in 300-400,000 miles without so much a hiccup. Agree though ride command is glitchy and sucks but as far as power, performance and reliability I'll take an Indian over a Harley 10 out of 10 times.
@Track3r
@Track3r Жыл бұрын
Actually I own more bikes or other models than Harley’s. Watch any of my other test ride videos. I also don’t totally dislike Indians. The FTR is a great bike. Their touring bikes are just not up to par for the price they are trying to get.
@bikerbliss7411
@bikerbliss7411 Жыл бұрын
@@Track3r I guess it's personal preference. I feel like there touring bikes are much better than the Harleys because don't have to worry about breaking down. More piece of mind traveling across the country. I do agree indian needs to work on its fit and finish as the chieftains tend to get rattling in the batwing after some time and some of the plastic tid bits break but still the ride and the power are superb compared to sta a road glide plus the feature you get with an Indian for 35k is much better than a Harley would have to buy a CVO starting at 48k to even come close to what comes standard on indians. Did a 3200 mile trip on a street glide and then did 3800 miles on a chieftain and hands down the indian was much better. Everyone will have there preference and choice, again I still feel the Japanese brands are light years ahead of indian or Harley when comes to reliability, for and finish and low cost of ownership. Having a saying in the shop world, you will never outlast a Honda. So far after 22+ years as a tech I can stand by that lol
@Track3r
@Track3r Жыл бұрын
Your definitely correct it is personal preference. It’s also down to personal experience. For me my local metric dealers are absolutely terrible but I do agree metric bikes are generally superior. When it comes to reliability some people have had issues with Harley but me personally my bikes have been extremely reliable. But I also know that’s not always the case. Every brand has its pros and cons and every person has their opinion and perceptions and rarely is anyone wrong in their own opinions or perceptions. All that being said while I don’t anticipate ever owning one of Indians touring bikes I am looking forward to a adding the ftr to my collection

I bought the Kawasaki versus 1000 2022 in November, I really like the bike. I wanted it for a couple years but it was between that and the 2022 BMW 1200 GS. The only reason why I didn't get the GS was because they wouldn't let me test ride it at the dealer and I'm not buying no bike if I can't test ride it. And the only reason why I bought the Kawasaki is because I went to the demo event. There's a good chance I would have bought the BMW if they would have let me test ride it because I like the leg positioning on the BMW GS cuz I'm tall 6'2 long insane. I also was looking at the triumph tiger explorer but they wouldn't let me test ride that either. Maybe they didn't think I was a real buyer. But like I said, I wouldn't have bought Kawasaki if they didn't have that demo event near the time when I was looking to buy . Would have ended up buying that triumph sport 660 cuz they did let me test Ride that I got a feeling. I think they didn't think I could get any bike that was expensive. They kind of missed out. I would have bought a $30,000 bike if it would have been there that I like and they let me test ride it cuz I actually went there to spend but part of it is my fault because I didn't give off that I vibe came to spend I was too busy complaining about how much a motorcycle cost couldn't believe they were the same price as cars lol

Your friend, Justin is correct. The Versys is a sport touring MC, not an adventure touring MC. At the end you're surprised by the price, but when compared to the GS-RT 1250, Ducati Muti Strada & KTM 1290, the Versys is a bargain at $3-5000 cheaper than European brands. It doesn't have the HP (118-120 depending on what spec sheet you look at), shaft drive of the BMW's, heated seats and some electronic features, but it does have Japanese reliability. Can't put a price on that. I own the 2nd generation Versys, a new 2016 leftover model purchased in June of 2017. The Versys has not been a huge seller and nice deals can be had, especially as late fall & winter are approaching. When my Versys was purchased In California, the Versys listed for $12,999, so over $14,000 out the door. I ended up paying $10,500 out the door. It is probably the best all around MC I've ever owned. My Versys has 60.000 miles and runs better than new. I've added a taller Puig wind screen, Kawasaki projector riding lights, a Givi 56 liter rear trunk, higher teeth front & lower teeth rear sprockets to lower highway rpm and a gear indicator. Other than new tires, brake pads and chains (the OEM lasted went 33,000 miles, the second 24,000 miles) it's been completely reliable. Heck, I still have the original battery that still puts out 12.8 volts. I'm currently looking at 2020 + 2021 used ones for the additional electronics that were added in 2019 because I want the Kawasaki green, not available in 2022. I wouldn't mind if Kawasaki added another 20-30 hp, heated seat option and possibly a shaft drive. If you want bang for the buck, comfort and reliability, the Versys is hard to beat.

Lol, I've had kawasaki's before but never had a green one.. till last year, I bought a brand new old stock 2020 1000se, and got a decent price on it too! Out the door I got it for $17,300, with the color matching rear trunk, driving lights and a 2"lower kit installed before picking it up. I'm pretty happy with the Comfort, power, and peace of mind the electronics give me, seeing as I'm in no way a professional rider and this bike can perform way beyond my limits. I've also added a 1 1/2" bar risers. It would be really nice to have an electric windshield, and a heated seat. My previous bike was a 2013 goldwing, so i do miss the radio. 😅

For someone who rides motorcycles, he sure doesn't know anything about them. Didn't talk about any of the new features that the Harley doesn't have. Inverted forks, liquid-cooled, more horsepower, more torque. The liquid cooling alone makes it worth more than an HD. L review. Next time you do a review you should keep the bias out of it.
