Perfect, that did it, but if the light is on, it still faults, and it popped a bulb in the process, so I’m wondering if there are other issues

He has an older garage door because I can hear how noisy it is. If you have an older garage door, but a fairly new garage door opener then you will need to replace the rollers with new nylon rollers. OR, use a lithium spray and hit your old rollers and hinges (everything that moves) with that spray. Your door will become quieter and should remove the down-force resistance it is detecting. The first time you try to lower your door you might need to push on it a little to make it close. Get that lithium grease moved around!

I started having this problem with my remotes and keypad. I had not changed the bulb for years. I removed the old bulb and put in a regular bulb, and so far, so good. Thank you VERY much! So, this worked for one day! The next day, after backing out of the garage, I was unable to close the door again. I tried removing the bulb, and it works periodically. Back to the drawing board.

LED bulbs product 300 to 400 mhz radio signals that interfere with garage door opener signals. need to get receiving antenna away from the lights. I too live in a steel building. I had to use grounded coax cable extended to the outside of the building. I stripped away 9" of grounded exterior cable, mounted through insulated bracket not allowing the center 9" wire to touch ground. Use aluminum tape on antenna wire that is not covered by ground inside the building. solder connections. Antenna length is determined by wave length, only need 1/4 wave. Grounded exterior of the coax cable is what does the trick.

Ima go buy some bulbs right now.. stay tuned. Update: after changing lightbulbs, which were burnt out, it worked so far. Another update coming soon.

Hi, just came across your video. Very informative and helpful. I am having the same issue and the fix of shutting the light off works but of course, the light turns back on when I drive out, and am then unable to close the garage door from the car. Any idea on how to disable the light from coming on when moving past the sensors? Thanks

Do your Led on your ceiling interfere with your garage door. I have the same leds and I took them down because my garage works on and off. Ordered new remotes and still same thing. I ordered the smart remote. Worked for two days and now doesn’t connect. Idk what to do. Maybe the antenna? Or just buy another unit?
