PLEASE MORE LIGHT! I'm not a Terminator with advanced optical sensors... I'm only a human with simple human eyes! So please let it be more light! Nice build and fine result as far as visible...

This kit is one that i really didn't enjoy building myself, but you made this look fairly effortless! You achieved a great finish at the end. I just found a lot of the pieces were a poor fit, but then it is an old kit, so i can't expect too much. Plus it's in 76th scale, which isn't my favourite, so i only have myself to blame on that score! Really enjoyed the vid though, nice one.

Too bad it’s so dark at the end. Can’t really see the end result, so all the rest is a waste of time. Thumbs down.

Just got one of these kits yesterday - four full sets of sprue, fully loaded ammo cassettes (?) for inside the wings, six (!) tubs of paint and TWO brushes. Not bad at all for a starter set! I even got the fuselage together without any tears even after glueing in the pilot's seat and control panel like the instructions say!? I'm no master builder but I know this is going to be a good 'un and I don't use airbrushes (yet). Excellent video and very inspiring 👍

@@TeaPoweredModels I'm looking at this kit after I build my first A/C kit through Academy's Apache 1/72. Do you think this is a noob-friendly kit? I'm still looking at other options of this kit like the hobby boss kit or Italeri, but those seem to be hard to find here locally and this seem to be the cheapest 1/48 of the A-10(at least here, locally). Might have to use alternate spray can paints tho as I don't have an airbrush and I think hand brushing the whole kit to be quite tedious.
@TeaPoweredModels
@TeaPoweredModels 2 жыл бұрын
@@deranged19 To be honest, most of the kit is pretty straightforward. The main issue was, with my kit, the engines didn't quite line up with the fuselage. I did a decent job of lining them up and sanding them down, but it still wasn't perfect. Luckily, they broke off when I moved house so I did a better job the second time around. Spray cans are a good option, there is a lot of surface area to cover. An airbrush is always going to be easier and cheaper in the long run.
@deranged19
@deranged19 2 жыл бұрын
@@TeaPoweredModels i hear you, that's why I'm opting for a newer kits like the Italeri A-10 Gulf war edition, but might cost double or triple the price of this kit. Anyhow, thanks for the insights! I'll be surely getting some experience with the Apache first. I'm just gonna wing it with what I have and enjoy. :D Keep up the work man. impressive stuff, you inspire noobs like me to finally pursue Aircraft modelling ( which I have been looking to take up since 2017)

Why did you first airbrush and then paint brush the camoflage? Never seen anyone did this! Imho it makes no sense... 🤔
@TeaPoweredModels
@TeaPoweredModels 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Juno! The brush was used to tidy up some of the edges that were a bit fuzzy, from airbrushing the camouflage. This was my second time painting this camo. The first time the masking tape pulled off half of the paint.

Hey, nice vid. Just wondering how you connected the tracks?
@TeaPoweredModels
@TeaPoweredModels 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I ended up cutting off the alignment pins as mine were heavily flashed and did not fit at all. Once I did that I super glued the whole track together and held it with a crocodile clip. I had already glued the end sprockets on and the top body so I had to try stretch the tracks on. It was a pain but it worked. In hind sight I would of left the end sprockets off till the tracks had set then added them

Novice question for you. I am sure there is a good reason for it but why did you use a brush for glue on some parts and a nozzle on others?
@TeaPoweredModels
@TeaPoweredModels 4 жыл бұрын
There are a few reasons! I use the brush (Tamiya Thin) for smaller parts and for blending seams. And the nozzle (Revell Contacta) for larger parts that you won't see and need more strength. Because it's a lot less controllable and slightly more aggressive.
