I went from a GT 550 to one of these. I ended up selling it before I killed myself... at least the 21 year old me had some sense once the responsibilities came along.

I bought a RG 400 from Stan Stevens in th late 80s (grey import) one of my demands was he included a stage 3 tune for the bike, but I had to dismantle the engine and give him the barrales to modify, and modify the disc valves myself, when I put it back together it started first time and was a rocket 😮😅😊

The number of times I've heard ' I run premix in case the oil pump fails'? I've never had an oil pump fail in 47 years of riding all makes of 2 strokes.

I used to have a GT380, which I've only just realised, must be the 'dad' of the RG400? That is a triple though, but has 3 into 4 pipes, beautiful bikes!! Does the small end get enough oil with just a pre mix? I remember the oil feeds on the 380 were going to the bottom of the cylinders as well as higher up?

You haven't lived until you've driven a UNIMOG. 61 degree hill climb. Well, that's what they're RATED for. On a good day in the right conditions with the right driver - IF you can get enough traction - maybe a little bit steeper than that!!! 😊😊😊😊😊

Addendum. Forgot to say once Oem removed & remap, dyno graph shows power went up to 112.8 BHp @ rear wheel & torque at tyre was 69.88FtLbs - quite an increase & very feel able, stacks of fun!

Marvellous bike, I have one also. I think you'll find that if you also replace the restrictive oem header pipes with a Delkevic set, you'll be amazed at how much the engine becomes unleashed. It's certainly fully awake in doing so, the extra pull is quite startling. Also, w/ the delkevic it has the brackets in place to restore the shield you've had to leave off. Oh, you lose about 10Kg in weight also. My remap company don't charge for subsequent tweeks, maybe Jordan are likewise? Cheers!

I have a non-factory 2024 V4 Tuono. I keep it in SW France because the UK roads do not allow 'proper' enjoyment. Bar risers make it extremely comfortable. A bit thirsty though.

Going too slow IS driving without due care and attention.. if you cant maintain a reasonable speed relative to the speed limit of the road, and the current road conditions (which were as optimal as Wales EVER sees) YOU are causing an obstruction to other road users, and also causing a hazard. If you want to do 20mph, stay in town, if your on national speed limit lanes.. do the national speed limit. It really is quite simple. Also, leave our farmers trying to work alone, trying to get them in trouble, you clearly dont get how we do things in Wales and frankly, your opinion is not only irrelevant but its incorrect.
