About to buy a physical copy of this for a few quid. You say that games have to be fun. I don’t think that’s entirely true. Like books or art, good quality games should evoke different feelings be they fun or not. I wouldn’t expect a game based on real life civil unrest to be fun, interesting for sure, not fun though. Looking forward to playing it. Looks like an old Amiga 500 game. There were no plenty of games on that system that aired more on the creative side and some of them were great, not fun though.

Ahh crap I bought this game because of the theme and like metroidvanias. It’s been in my backlog. I’m just starting and it has roguelike elements? I really hate those. I’ve been gaming since the 80s so it’s not about the challenge, it makes it a different genre. Well it’s too late to return it, so I’ll give it my best shot.

Ms. Shirley is amazing! After watching her videos I rebooted the game and after forever, I got all the achievements, but I am far from done.

This game blows. Seriously the most boring game I have ever attempted to play. You literally just hold your finger down to walk forward or backward. It basically tells you what to do.

I beg to differ. Objectively speaking it is not a great game. It could have been. Actually it could have been "Game of decade" had the developers put fun in the formula there somewhere. You die and have to do everything again, only weaker and with zero payoff. Literally zero. You get nothing. You don't get stronger, you don't get better weapons, you don't get any buffs. The game just gets harder with nothing to counterbalance it. I got to level 9 and died. Why would I wanna go through all the hassle to get there again? Grind, and get there again only to die and repeat? Hades nailed it. Curse of the dead Gods got it. Enter the Gungeon, beat dungeon crawler ever, nailed it. This one, avoid it.

KCD is a near-perfect game, in the sense that it had such a clear vision and got so close to achieving it perfectly. I really hope the success and fan base that has formed around it has had some impact in soothing the Devs after the controversy. It's one of my favorite games from a development studio who really gets it. I'm excited to see where they go from here.

Bro if they made a PvPvE game like Hunt Showdown in the Remnant universe

It was the 2 things like the fact that this kind of game hasn't really ever be done vefore AND the fact that it placed the gamer in Bohemia during a war that MANY people have never heard of which was new to many gamers. I myself as a huge history buff have never even heard of the historical events in this game. This is why it was such a great game and why it would have been a slam dunk decision to make this kind of game. Now, about the controversy of of be accused of racism. These people who accuses those like Warhorse are just very sick people. People like them do not grasp just how heavy and serious it is to accuse someone of being a racist. You bave to be a very sick person to look at someone who is doing nothing harmful and simply just creating something that is telling the story of events that happened in your countries history in a certain timeline. You're just telling this.accurately and simply as it happened... yet for that, for something so harmless, you are punished and are accused of racism. Europeans aren't even aloud to tell the stories of their people and the history of their lands. NOBODY ELSE is treated like this. Everyone else is free to tell their stories free from the same absurd expectations. Wr are the ONLY ONES who have to dillute out history and the ONLY ONES who are endlessly expected to prove that we're not racists.. it's NOT about "representation"; with these seriously disturbed people.. it's about them wanting to see less white people as if in their minds its "Less white peolle thr better. Please guys.. DO NOT give in. There is NOTHING shameful or wrong with telling our history the way it was. Not only is this comment in 2024 but let me say to EVERYONE, I REPEAT EVERYONE!! KCD not only holds up in game play, mechanics, music, history and graphics even still to this day. Its also one of the most beautiful and extremely difficult open world rpgs still to date. Its in the top 5 for me absolutely. Massive achievement. Thank you WARHORSE STUDIOS for this epic opportunity to visit the past. Watching this still gives me chills and also makes me want to fire this up and play it right now. Also, i love wizards and magic as much as anyone but not having it makes this title more special. Ive always been a sucker for alchemy in any rpgs but KCD does it perfectly. 2nd best i think is the witcher 3 followed by SKYRIM. i love you guys so much for letting me have the experience to play Kingdom Come Deliverance.
