There is no reason to be ashamed to loving a hobby. It's like someone saying that adults shouldn't watch cartoons. Or play with water/toy guns. Why does it matter if you're elderly & you have a hobby that you enjoy? Period. I know I'm going to be gaming till the day I die.

This made me tear up, I’m so exciting! Shirley’s videos are a great part of my day when I get to watch them. Currently I take care of my grandmother who has alzheimer’s and dementia and unfortunately we’ve never had the best relationship, and her mental deterioration has been hard to witness. Shirley’s videos have really helped my cope though. I feel lucky to have found her!

I'm 20 and have been a gamer most of my life. And to see this... nothing else to say but amazing. It really touches me that elderly people are taking up an interest in playing games. I think we need more elderly streamers, I honestly could loose track of time watching an elderly person gaming. It's truely beautiful.

Yeah, grandma showed you can be any age and still understand what's what with games and whatever else it might be. I understand with some older people, they won't understand things, but I do wonder now if some of them put the stigma on to their self's or are scared to try new things because 'they're too old to understand' or whatnot. I'm glad to have gotten into grandma's videos though.

My late husband worked for the Academy (I had the honor at being at many a wonderful documentary screening) and online stuff can be tricky when it comes to showings and qualifications.
