Glad you enjoyed watching. I definitely wanted to share it with the world since not everyone could attend. It is poorly recorded visually, as I held my phone low not to block my view or anyone else’s, but at least you can hear it well.

"Duel" won the Grand Prix International at the Festival d'Avoriaz, which used to be a famous horror and sci fi film festival in France. Many french critics and european critics and movie fans really thought "Duel" was awesome and incredibly directed for a so young director :) Oddly enough, this is for me a comfort movie, that I watch once a year ! I LOVE everything about it : the tension, the cast, the light, the vintage look of it... Regarding "Sugarland", I'm also a fan, but I understand why it was not a success, because of its downbeat ending and the general tone of it, which is a mix between the "new Hollywood" maestria and an independant satire of the American way... But it is Spielberg's first real cinema film ("Duel" was made for TV first as everyone knows) and it is one hell of a start :) After that, like Lucas who made "American Graffiti" (and of course "Star Wars") after "THX" and then had his first major success, Spielberg had the genius to make "Jaws" to reach a wider audience :) Anyway, I'm a fan of Spielberg since my childhood and finding today your vid is soooooo cool for a french guy like me !!!! So thank you for sharing this magic !!!!! :) You made my day man !! :)

Thank you for your comment. I wanted the world to hear what Spielberg had to say. That’s why I recorded and posted it even though it’s a bad recording. 😅 At least you can hear what he had to say all the way in France. Glad you enjoyed it.

lol. So true! I noted in the description that I often did not have the subjects in frame as I was watching purposefully with my own eyes and not looking through my iPhone that I held down low to record so not to block my view or anyone else’s behind me.

Updated Lyrics for "Favourite" Feel free to contribute - updated from those originally written by @secondone1714 Did you know, I could claim the dreamer from the dream? Make you feel everything you've never even seen It's been a long, a long, a long, a long, long, long You were my favourite for a long time Station fires (? - it's not this so please contribute if you have any ideas) and faces rearranged You feel beauty give (a) way to something strange It's been a long, a long, a long, a long, long, long You were my favourite for a long time Well, look who's (word missing here - just?) the newest clown 35 hours coming down And the sun shines on new pavement And you don't even feel it It's a cry far from red radios And days spent playing football indoors When they came to town/painted (the/this) town? with Thatcher They never even wanted to know ya Did you know, I can ____ sniff/slip/ the sunshine through/to the day? Make you feel everything you'd never even say Yeah, soon (it'll) be gone Be gone , be gone, be gone, be gone You were my favourite for a long time You were my favourite for a long time Did you know, sixties(?) on the turn are often strange? Yeah, now every time you blink you feel a change And it's been a long, a long, a long, a long, long, long You were my favourite for a while Makes sense when you understand Misery made me another man's man And I'm always looking over my shoulder And each new day I get another year older _______ frame of a door? Chewed into shape like a ________ on the shore But if there was lightning in me, you know who it was for Did you know, I could claim the dreamer from the dream? Make you feel everything you've never even seen It's been a long, a long, a long, a long, long, long You were my favourite for a long time You were my favourite for a long time You were my favourite for a long time You were my favourite for a long time
