For some reason I can't make the TD-3 play back. I enter the notes via a Push 2, the TD-3 makes sound but it doesn't play back...
@martinbielke830114 күн бұрын
Alright, I think I got it... The problem seems to be the sync mode. I use the USB connection to send notes to the TB3 from my Ableton Push 2, so I can change the scales quickly. I create a midi channel in Ableton with the Arp and the Velocity plug in, just like in the video/ Midi from Push, Midi to TD3. Then I connect a syn cable from a volca sample to a TD-3. I then follow the steps of the video: introduce the notes with the midi controller (in my case the push), set the time values and press play on the TD3. Voila! When I send sync via USB the TD3 it doesnt play back the notes I introduced. I hope this helps.

Can you show us how you set the latency etc. Like the kick drum sounds in sync with the td3 but of course there must be latency between ableton and the time it takes to process the td 3 sound. You must of done some settings somewhere to compensate?

Just create midi or midi Arpeggio pattern in daw and send midi data to TD-3. For arpeggios, use any Arpeggio plugin and sens midi from plugin to TD-3

The synth is ok I think, might be a one-trick pony, but probably will get one. I was more interested in the tune that starts here for its potential. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn2WfHd4e91ontk I hope you turned that into a live mix arrangement 😉

Absolutly worth getting, just plug it in and finally you can start/stop clips directly. Works without any Software when a Ni maschine already installed. A brilliant Ableton live controller too for clip launching and Transport Control. Get it :)

What u didn't understand? He uses arp for trigger, velocity for groove and scale to be in key. Then he records this midi notes and velocities in TD3 and fills in random accents and slides (303 sequencer is very tricky) and that's it.
